Expensive but very compatible for Dell equipment
Bought for an uncooperative Dell laptop. All other adapters failed as Dell seemingly only supported their own equipment. This said, it is plug and play out of the packet. I did update my Thunderbolt drivers running windows 11 prior to connecting which may have helped but anything’far eastern’ chipset has never worked on the USB C port. The only downside would be the expensive price as this is twice the price of the cheaper alternatives but for me this worked great.

Using with Windows 10 and Dell XPS 15 - great little player, If it weren't for the software, this would be overpriced
So far so good, and if you wonder why this particular package is so good compared with £20 equivalents, I'll explain.Windows 10 has no media playing capabilities. Plug in DVD players/burners simply don't play films, I've confirmed this with my Samsung external drive. Dell however packaged this little player with Cyberlink software, everything you need to play and burn movies. Cyberlink is the best in the business, quite pricey when bought separately, so Dell have come up trumps to include this.It is NOT plug and play during initial using, you need to pop the included disc in and load the software, and can take 15-20 mins or so.Once done, all the frustrations of Windows 10 media playing/burning should disappear. Why use DVD in this day and age, well if you're a business traveller and stay at hotels in countries with a) poor wifi b) internet restrictions on streamed material (even BBC iplayer/Netflix); this solution is perfect.Description:The drive is flimsy and plasticky, I would have preferred a slot system (but featherlight for travelling).Power comes through the USB.Using with 2016 model Dell XPS 15, matches the visual aesthetic perfectly.

Great hub, works fine, shame about power output
I've purchased these as an alternative to the D600 docking Station and overall very happy with them. They support 2 x USB, VGA, DP and HDMI connections plus 1 x USB C. You have the option to plug a power supply into the hub and power the laptop, however as the hub takes 15w of the power, then you need to have either a 90w power supply for a standard Latitude 5000 series, or plug the power supply into the laptop and the hub into the spare USB C port on the laptop. I have the same issue with the Precision 3571 which needs more power than it can supply.Overall, as long as you have 2 x USB C on the laptop, it works brilliantly. If you only have one, then go for a full dock as this will produce a constant warning about slow charging appearing on the laptop.

NEVER BUY DELL PRODUCTS.
I have always had a very high opinion of DELL products, they might not look cutting edge but they are well made. How things have changed. When I opened the box my heart sank. I should have returned it right then. It is cheaply made/ flimsy, and unless you are super careful it will break immediately. Windows 11 doesn't like it either. It lasted six months, though used very rarely, then it started rejecting disks. I tried to contact DELL Customer Care (which is in India, they don't have a UK office) but they were not only rude and aggressive, but most of it is done by a robot, so as it does not come with a 'Service Tag' couldn't get anywhere. Basically there is no warranty. I have wasted my money. Yet another example of the growing trend with multinational companies of WE SERVE YOU RIGHT.
