It works!
I was looking to put two different toslink signals into a single DAC input. Not at the same time of course. This accomplished what I wanted. Either the TV or the CD player now plays through the same input.

I didn't need it after all. But it did work. I used my headphone output instead of my input.

This items doesn’t work as advertised
I purchased this item to connect 2 audio sources into 1 amp does not. The Amazon post indicated this item would accomplish this task.

Garbage
Only works with 1 cable connected. This was expensive for a 3 inch extention! DO NOT PURCHASE!

Does NOT work as advertised.
This device didn’t work. It only transferred sound if a single source was connected to the “splitter”. If 2 devices were plugged in, no sound at all was transferred to the speaker - even if one of the 2 source units was turned off.
