DANIEL SMITH 284600011 Extra Fine Watercolor 15ml Paint Tube, Burnt Umber

Love it, quite good for shading and muting down some colour tones!

I've never been a one to buy browns, which this essentially is, or greys, or blacks for that matter. However, I saw Angela Fehr using this paint on You Tube and thought if I had to have a brown this would probably be better than most. Unexpectedly I actually really like it. It has a reddish tinge which is quite enticing. I can see me using this paint quite a lot just as it is and even more if I can find ways to alter it subtly with other paints. This I suspect will take some practice and as soon as I have a moment I will sit down and see what I can get out of it.

I bought this paint on advisement to create a particular, one-pigment landscape painting and it was absolutely perfect.It granulates slightly and splits occasionally showing deep oranges and turquoise hues when used wet-into-wet.Outstanding quality paint, as you would expect from Daniel Smith.Definitely one for the armoury.

I've found this paint is finding its own place in my palette. for some reason it complements many colours that I hadn't expected it to. Very pleasing purchase even though it was only purchased for a course and I'd not expected to use it greatly after that.

Beautiful paint, lovely colour. Moves and blends well, highly pigmented.After trying other independently made mineral paints I realise what a gem these primatek paints are. Top of the league.

First time for Daniel smith paint although on the top range of pricing the strength of pigment means you have to use so small amount I think this tube will last people a long time.,
