There was nothing at all that I could complain about. Brilliant scriptures which add so much more depth to the show through stage directions. Incredible quality with a gorgeous cover and really quick delivery. Absolutely brilliant!!

I happened upon Fleabag, the series, I suspect like everybody else. I’d become obsessed with the first series of Killing Eve (on which Phoebe Waller-Bridge was show-runner) and when I recognised her name and saw a trailer for Fleabag, I loved her reactions to camera right off the bat.In Fleabag: The Scriptures, we find the full scripts for both seasons, including opening shots, looks to camera, and those gloriously heartbreaking flashbacks with best friend, Boo. I loved the development of the relationships between Fleabag, her sister, Claire, and stepmother, Godmother.I highlighted so many scenes in this kindle edition, but the line that stopped my heart when I first heard it, and practically choked me from the page, was this one from series two, episode two, where Fleabag is talking to the counsellor her father has got her a voucher for as a birthday present.(Fleabag is, of course, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the Counsellor is played by Fiona Shaw. I was excited for this to arrive and had ordered it despite some damming reviews. Like others have said it did arrive with some glue on the cover but luckily it was for myself, I wouldn’t have felt comfortable giving it as a gift in the state it arrived.

I had no intention of buying this originally. Actually, I was patiently waiting for a third season to come out. I figured with the pandemic maybe things were just pushed back. However, I finally looked up when an expected date for season 3 would be only to find that there would never be a season 3. With that search I also found that there was a book and I had to have it. It's actually great to read even though I know what's going to happen. In fact, I love that I can play a scene in my head over and over and I don't have to find my perpetually missing TV remote.Alright, so I'd like to add to the discourse in the reviews. Like many others have experienced, my book came a little dirty. I cleaned off whatever it was easily and now it looks like a brand new book.While it was shipping, I looked up the book to see what it looked like at other places online, in-store, and even watched a book launch from late 2019 and thus concluded that the book is NOT in fact supposed to be dirty as a clever joke or nod to the show or writer. It's just whoever, wherever these books are coming from isn't the most rigid with quality control. That or clean is chic to them. And chic is boring. Don't tell the French.Regardless, thanks to the reviews being honest about how theirs came to them and I'm very happy with my purchase.
