Unger 978490C Grabber 32 in.

Little heavy while using, but does the job.

i am moderately disabled so have several "grabbers" placed strategically around my home. Eventually they wear out or break. This latest go around I bought both a 32" NOVA Medical Products 32-Inch Dragon Reacher and a 32" Unger 978490C Grabber. They are both fundamentally the same design & the prices are close to the same. The Nova has just a bit more refined action with slightly better fit and finish. The jaws of the Unger appear to be structurally a stronger design with reinforcing cross members in the molded parts. The Unger has a hook whereas the Nova has a post for hooking a sock or whatever.

The tool is handy and effective.

I use it to pick up branches that the birch and poplar trees drop all year in strong winds. I used to hate raking and bending to pick them up. Now I just walk around and pick them up and drop them in the wheelbarrow. Not the strongest tool so one can't pick up large heavy branches totally, but you can lift the ends high enough to grab them with your other hand. Wish I had bought one of these years ago.

It works just as described. Picks up anything you want to. Easy to use as I have a little arthritis in my hands and not hard to squeeze at all. Had previously bought a cheaper one and no way is it as good as the Unger Grabber. Highly recommend.

Fantastic grabber! We got one for my mom to use after a cataract surgery because she wasn't allowed to bend for a while. She loved it so much she got one for us. It is so good that you can pick up a piece of paper off the ground, and pull a Kleenex out of the box.
