Love my mystery snails.
I’d never really thought of snails as having much of a personality, just things in the background doing their thing to help with maintenance. Not these guys. One is very shy and the other two will start racing toward my hand if I’m holding something like a algae wafer. Something else that shocked and surprised me…. They mated and attached clusters of eggs on the interior hood of the aquarium. Kinda freaked me out at first, had never seen them before and didn’t really know what they were. (Enter Google & YouTube) A few well meaning YouTubers said to carefully detach them and float them. The ones I did that with never hatched. I’d left one clutch of eggs on the interior hood; and those hatched. They grow somewhat quickly. I knew I had too many, so I shared the wealth and shared several juvenile mystery snails with friends.I’m looking forward to their next mating season! lol

Love my snails!
I wanted something to help keep my betta tank clean and truthfully to have something else to watch/look at. I'd never thought to buy animals off the internet. If you're thinking about buying some snails from THIS vendor, do it.I had 2 arrive in PERFECT condition. Happy little creatures who seemed thrilled to be in their new home and moving all over. 1 was sadly deceased, their shell had gotten broken during shipping. I sent in a message and the seller sent me another. I'm happy to say that it arrived in perfect condition! The first 2 are so pretty. One has a yellow shell (and the snail is the COOLEST white with neon orange!) the 2nd has a darker shell (the snail itself is PURPLE/BLUE with neon orange.) I was so happy!!! The 3rd one took some time to see it. When I first put it into the tank it FLIPPED OVER A ROCK and dug into the gravel. It was incredible to watch. While it doesn't come out during the day much it is VERY active at night. It also has a yellow shell but it's purple/blue!The only downside is the shipping in my opinion. I don't feel that the words "LIVE FISH" in bright red letters on the box protected my little snails at all from people who don't care and are rough with the box. I truly believe all 3 original snails should have arrived safe with the packing, inner container, and heat pack the seller provided.

Arrived alive but didn't live that long.
I ordered these snails from Generic last year in September. The colors I received were blue, black and chestnut (also known as albino). All three snails had some erosion on their shells. The blue one also was very inactive, and I assumed this was the snail's personality, but he died a month after arrival. The chestnut snail died in December. Her calcium deficiency was the least severe of the three, so it surprised me when she passed. The black one did live until the middle of February of this year. His shell erosion was pretty awful, and got worse over time despite the pH being 7.6, dKH of 12, and dGH of 8, and me really going to great lengths to acclimate him to a calcium rich diet. What I will say is that he had a wonderfully adorable personality. It's a shame he couldn't have lived longer.Based on photos that others have shared here, and based on my experience with snails from this breeder, I get the impression that they don't have the best genetics and are not kept in tanks with water parameters to meet their shell's needs. It doesn't seem like they have the best diets either, based on the shell conditions.

Alive and healthy
I was a little nervous because my postal delivery person did not deliver the snail to my front door and instead I had to wait for redelivery nearly 5 days later. When I open the package there were three snails of different colors - white, brown, and yellowish orange - all three had their operculum closed, and the white one was floating in the top of the bag. I live in Washington, so it was around 50° or so most of the day and I noticed the water was pretty cold. I floated them in some water (about the same temperature as my fish tank) for about 30-45 minutes. They didn’t look any different, but I added them to my fishtank anyway and within 10-20minutes their operculum were opening and they were starting to move around.

I thought they were alive when I got them.
So i got these today and thought they were alive even though they never moved. After using a dropper to slowly fill the container they were in I realized one was floating but assumed it was fine. After a hour of leaving them be still nothing and I noticed they are slightly open so I picked one up and it didn't try to close or open more. I only just realized they are all dead.

Mystery Snails
After buying Mystery Snails from pet stores and having them die within the 13 day refund window, I decided to check out Amazon. Three of the most beautiful and active Mystery Snails arrived on August 9, 2023. As of this writing they are going strong. They were a little slow to start cleaning but after a week they were busy. Each snail has grown a new section of their shell already. The seller was quick to ship and they were packaged well. My order contained one white, purple and gold snail.
