Great support! Great product
I continue after several years to use this stand every day several times and during the night to listen or read. IT IS GREAT! The customer service is OUTSTANDING. I have never worked with a company like this. I needed a replacement part that broke on a Saturday and I was to have neck surgery early the next week. Calling customer service you get to talk to a very nice Human and the owner called back promptly with plans to express mail the part. However the timing for mailing did not work so he and his wife DROVE from the south end of SEattle to the north of Seattle to hand deliver the part so I would be able to have it ready while recuperating. I can not say enough good things about the product or customer support. OUTSTANDING!I wanted a stand so I could read in bed that would be stable. I received it very promptly and it is very easy to assemble. However I have an iPad 3. I tried it with the clips-too tight. Called them after hours on Friday. Less than two hours later one of the owners called. He will be sending me a new holder shipped out tomorrow-Saturday. Very pleasant conversation and the most prompt service I have EVER had with any product. What a rarity today!!!!The stands very flexible the iPad slips in and out very easily important for old joints! Well made. Worth the price. Very relaxing to not be holding the iPad.18 months later- I am still VERY impressed by this product and the PRODUCT SUPPORT! The head started drooping in just one position, I contacted the seller and got a very prompt reply on how to do a very EASY and successful fix and a reassurance that if that didn't work they would replace the head. Amazing to have a product that works like it says and is adjustable so simply when a tweek is needed.I have also purchased the wheels which work so well, easily attached and make a great product even better if you want to move the stand back and forth like from and to the bed. This stand is so worth the money. Ihave not tried the head for the mini and other sizes but will when I get a Mini iPad.

Pricy; and has some negatives (EDIT - much improved)
$239 seems like a lot for such a simple item. Also, it has a lot of just-not-quite-right issues. The counterweight is too light. It needs to be a bit heavier, and adjustable, since different models of iPads weigh a bit different. Mine kept sagging (even though I tightened the slip-joint as much as I could). I had to duct-tape a chunk of steel to the counterweight. Not too classy for your important presentation. It isn't quite tall enough, at least for me. I need to reach over a moving object (exercise machine) to hold the iPad where I can read from it.The holder is fairly secure, but it is extremely difficult to get the iPad in and out. This might not be an issue for people who can leave the iPad in permanently, but I use mine for other things. The head doesn't have quite enough articulation - just a bit over 90 degrees each way. I might have been able to bring the boom over my shoulder if the head could have faced back along the boom more. That said, it seems to be well-made, and if the problems I had are not problems for you, it might be worth trying. It is sturdy and heavy enough to allow touch-screen and "swipe" actions without falling over, although it does sway a bit with each touch.============EDIT==============Unsolicited, after posting this review, I received a phone call from the manufacturer. Apparently they had a batch of pivot screws which were just a tiny bit too long, so they couldn't clamp down tightly enough. They had also slightly enlarged the iPad bracket to allow easier insertion and removal. They offered (and I accepted) to send a package with the correct screw and the new bracket. The package arrived within a few days, and the installation was simple. The stand now holds its position fairly well (I would still like a heavier counterweight, but adding a bit of weight is not hard) and it is easy to remove the iPad from the new bracket, without sacrificing any security. (I have since tried a few other iPad brackets, and have a new respect for this one - some of them are truly scary!)I did not mention in the original review, that the internal USB extension makes it easy (and clean-looking) to leave the iPad connected to its charger. Good for semi-permanent installations. All in all, this removes my serious problems. It is still a bit pricy, so I couldn't quite go to 5 stars, but the quality and design now are first-rate. As another reviewer said (roughly): you have to pay extra for a Rolls-Royce.(They also told me that there is a new, taller, version in the works, so people who need to reach over an obstacle can look forward to this one.)

It doesn't work - must be quality control.
Despite my hopeful enthusiasm for a well-reviewed product, the stand I received failed to keep my iPad3 at a usable angle. Even after tightening the swing bolt at the pivot of the extension arm, my iPad slowly slid towards the floor - repeatedly. Should anyone order this product, beware that the product's delicate balance may not be acheived directly from the factory. For the price of this stand, experimenting with additional counterbalanced weights just isn't worth the effort.

Excellent Customer Service
Used the device a lot after having neck surgery and could not look down. That's why I bought it in the first place prior to surgery. The plastic lock that holds the IPAD in place snapped off one of the first few times I used the device. However, almost immediately after I posted the review, the company contacted me to let me know a replacement part was on the way. It was easy to replace, and so far the replacement has been very durable with no problems. I do not think my isolated issue is the norm. I did not even have to ask for assistance. If I could, I would change my rating to five stars but that is not an option now. It's great for reading in a recliner. When the new taller version is available, I will get that one because with today's thicker mattresses, you do need a little more height. I would highly recommend this product.
