Darco Original Med-Surg Shoe, Post op Shoes for Broken Toe, Medical Walking Shoes, Cast Foot Brace for Foot Surgery Operation, Women's Medium

I have a broken toe and need an open toe shoe with support that I can adjust. I've purchased several pairs of sandals/shoes and none are any good, including the big black surgical boot they give you! This one works! it's really comfy, doesn't touch my toe, and is actually kind of cute. I'm ordering a second one so that I can actually wear a matched set and not look too weird. I wear a women's size 7.5-8 and bought the Medium. It's almost too small but I'd rather that than too big. I like it!

shoe quality is fine for what it is, except I expected it to come with two (a pair) of shoes. I do not wear only one shoe or two different un-matching shoes, regardless of having a bum foot that needs extra firm and adjustable support. Therefore, this single shoe is totally useless to me! But, I suppose it could work for somebody, who doesn't mind wearing two different shoes and standing out in a crowd! Even handicapped people have self-pride and are entitled to some dignity! Maybe some people's condition require the use of only one shoe, but most shoes are sold and worn in pairs! But otherwise, not knocking the shoe itself, had there been two (a pair) I would have been happy! Failed to return it, because they wanted more in return postage fees than the item was worth. So it got tossed into a box of junk in the closet!

Looks nice but that's all. Way too Small! Purchased according to size chart and taking into account all reviews warning of its small fit but somehow it was still way wrong!!! Also, the loop that the strap fits into cuts into the side of the foot and toes regardless of how it is adjusted. My advice: DON'T BUY THIS ITEM IF YOU HOPE TO HEEL YOUR FOOT. Just the mere thought of wearing this makes my stress fractures stressed out. Save your money or buy something else.

I bought this shoe about six or so years ago. I wear a size 6-6 1/2 and I ordered the small and it fit just fine.. I’ve had to resurrect that shoe because I fractured my toe and I find it to be of reasonable quality and it does the job. I don’t have any of the issues that some of the other reviewers wrote about about the strap closure pinching the foot and sizing problems. Perhaps they were closing the Velcro straps too tight. I think they are as comfortable as a surgical shoe that is supposed to keep your foot flat and not bend when you walk can be, which is not very comfortable, especially if you have high arches which I do.

I had a Darco shoe that looked like this one (different color, though) many years ago after toenail surgery. I am having pain in my big toe now due to something else, so I wanted another Darco like the one I had previously, because the one I had years ago was comfortable and of good quality. I was really looking forward to receiving this one. I wear a women's size 6 shoe, so instead of ordering the small (women's 4-6), I ordered the medium (women's 6.5-8), because I did not want my toe exposed over the edge of the shoe. Well, even with the size medium, my toe was hanging over the edge. So it is way too small. If Darco gets the sizing so wrong, I am wondering if the quality of the shoe has diminished also. I cannot use the shoe, so I will never know about the quality. I have already started a return on this product.

US women's medium size is considered between 7-8. This is a US size 6.Order the larger size or hopefully the merchant will correctly label.

Unlike the first two reviewers, I like it a lot. Arthritis, and an old injury, cause one of my feet to swell horribly, especially in hot weather. The post-surgical shoes are the only shoes I can wear in hot weather. I bought two of the shoes - wearing two different shoes is asking for trouble, I think. I wear a woman's size 7.5. I ordered the woman's medium and they fit fine. If I wanted to wear them in cold weather - with thick heavy socks - I'd probably need to buy a woman's large.

Missing velcro staps..I need a quick replacement.
