100 Watt Police Siren 5 Sound Emergency Vehicle Warning Speaker PA System Microphone 12v 100W

For the money, seems fine. Install was simple with the RJ11, you could use a phone cord to lengthen if you don't know how to splice. Tone generator is mounted to the rear of the speaker so you'll need a lot of room to mount this in the hood. Speaker is a lightweight plastic that probably won't last forever, but what do you expect for so cheap? Tones are much louder than I expected. PA is near silent, so don't buy it if that's you're main use. I bought for tones which we tested today and can be clearly heard 1.25 miles away (clear shot). I turned the stock radio all of the way up and could hear tones over the radio. Can't hear the PA inside the car with radio off and windows up. As long as you keep this dry, I bet it will be ok. Don't try mounting it in front of radiator or on bottom of car; it won't last.

First off, I don't know what people were expecting to get for $37 that would make them give this less than four stars. The sirens are loud, however for legal reasons I ripped those switches out, the horn is my favorite. And yes the mic is great to. You cant hear it when rolling down the highway, but for $37 what were you expecting. When I use the mic downtown my average town it echoes off the buildings and everyone hears it, it scares people, and what's more fun that saying good bye or hello over a P/A system, I've had this installed for 5 months, it's traveled 18,000 miles underneath my truck. It's got a beating but still working like new, gone through mud, puddles, you name it it's fine, ran over rubber on highway, no problem, ever ran over a bumper on the interstate, all it did was dent it. I've compared to three other p/a's I've installed in friends vehicles and in the $50< price range this is the one. So sorry to those of you who thought you were buying s police rated P/a, if that's what you want, cough up $150. Summery: THIS THING IS LOUD well loud enough for now... :) and the best part is, IT NEVER GETS OLD AND ITS ALWAYS FUN! Also when wiring it wore it to an "add on fuse" to a fuse slot only powered when key is turned

The siren is decent if you don't need something really loud, but what do you expect for the price. The sounds are pretty decent, and you have to tap the air horn button to stop the siren. The wiring harness is pretty short, so you may have to extend the wires for anything other than a compact car. The whole thing is a cheaper lightweight plastic including the microphone and mic clip, so not really heavy duty. All in all, it's about what I expected for the price. Would be great for a toy fire truck or a novelty siren, or maybe even a department UTV, but probably not the best thing if you're looking for a real siren.

This is an excellent product for what you pay , a 100 watt siren for this price is a good bargain , I have read people saying it is plastic or a toy , ignore the finishing it is too loud and yes people think I am secret police and take me serious on the road(I have blacked windows so the siren makes me spooky ). However the mic doesn’t sound very loud so if you are buying this just to talk through it thinks twice. I have read people saying they had problems installing it and complaining about the short cables, yes the cables are short and you need to extend them so if you don’t have basic car or electric knowledge please go to a car workshop and your mechanic can do it in 20 minutes not a big deal. One last recommendation: don’t use it in front of cops.

I bought this product and used it for about 3 months and the siren in the middle of a response just fizzled out and will not work anymore the speaker is in a protected place as well as the handheld portion of it

It's not expensive so I figured even with a few low ratings I'd give it a shot. I installed it and even extending the reach (spliced in a another 6 ft section of 4/ phone line) It works great and is really loud. I installed the speaker in my grill and ran the line though the firewall. Phone line is like 30 gulag or something and pretty hard to splice, but sill it worked. I only hope the speaker is more waterproof than not. I am also trying to figure out how to run one of the siren effects to a momentary switch on my toggle switch box so I can tap on the siren for a split second. Worth the $40 for sure. (so far)

Let me start off by saying that this PA system is of decent value for the money. It is loud enough without going too loud, and all the horns sound good as well even though I disconnected the sirens. My biggest issue with this product is the ability or inability to extend the mic wires. The mic uses a handset wire and NO TELEPHONE WIRE will be able to plug and play unless you find a flat one that has a handset connection, how stupid this is. The 20 minute install turned into a lot longer than that, having to manually strip each wire to extend the whole unit to be able to reach inside of my full sized pickup truck. I'm not sure why they would not include a longer cord, It literally would not even reach my fire wall 3 feet away from where I mounted the speaker. Too bad I already recommended it to another person and they bought one. I would never buy another one, the box looks very cheap as well as there being no wire, this should of been very easy to install quickly.. Just not enough wire.

Very good product, I absolutely recommend this product to anyone who wants a microphone or something to simply fool around with, it's very loud and clear. The only downfall was the wires that plug up to battery, there were to short therefore had to buy extra wire from Walmart but other then that its an awesome product!
