Dove Refillable Deodorant Starter Kit 0% Aluminum Coconut & Pink Jasmine Aluminum Free Deodorant 1.13 oz

All of the refills I got through Amazon broke off at the base after around a week or two of usage.I bought these refills off Amazon because my local Target no longer stocked refills, but the quality control for these is so bad. Target stock never broke off and I loved the reusable deodorant, so I bought lots off Amazon. I bought both scents, lavender and cucumber, and even got my best friend the case. When the first one broke, I figured it’s summer, it’s hot, one or two defects in a batch is no biggie. I threw it away and swapped to another. However, the second one also broke off at the base after barely a week. The deodorant fell on the floor with hair and dust all over it. The nearly full deodorant was badly dented. I am not putting that picture online.At this point, I was worried but I figured it was summer and I wanted to give Dove a chance. It is winter now and cold, so I swapped in another refill. It broke after a week as well! They all like to fall to my floor too :c I was trying so hard to be careful with it, swiping with the thicker side and stuff. I’m now down to my last refill but I already see a crack… I’m pretty sure this one will bite the dust too. I’m not going to ask for refunds for personal care items, but I’m severely disappointed.

I had a Double Mastectomy for Breast Cancer in June of 2023 and I wanted to get away from aluminum in my antiperspirant so I switched to this. I've been very happy with it. Granted it's deodorant not antiperspirant - but it's fine. I don't sweat much at my age - (or during these recovery months).I particularly like the holder is metal and refillable. Less plastic waste? That's great. I wish they could package the refill with less plastic too - but it goes right in recycling.I get to use the same scent I've loved for years and nothing to worry about getting into my healing incisions. (Use common sense if you're healing). Love it!

I would give this product 0 stars if I could. I bought this for a month long vacation to Australia/New Zealand. I followed all instructions to put the product together carefully, but the lid would not stay in place and keep falling off. Okay not big deal I put a rubber band around it to keep it in place. Then the first time I used it the hole thing fell apart. the deodorant part of the product just crumbled and fell off making the deodorant unusable. I had to just throw it all away. The window to return the item closed March 3rd! I did not return from our trip until March 6th.

This concept is great but the kid is heavy and doesn’t stay closed. The cap keeps coming off and then the deodorant part just keeps falling off.

This is my go to deodorant. I love the smell and the ability to travel with it in my purse. I went to a wedding and it was great because it was small enough for my clutch and it was very discreet. No one knew what it was when I pulled it out my bag looking for a mint, lol. The case is very durable. I've dropped it with no damage to the deodorant while changing the deodorant refill and super easy to wipe clean.On the OTHER side, I have broken two. The design of the deodorant in the plastic piece is awful, poor design, and very unstable. Once it breaks, the deodorant not the case, you can't really use it unless you want to use your hand as applicator. I've tried, it has a greasy feeling on your hands. It has the same feeling to your hands if you put too much chapstick or lipgloss on your fingers. NO WEIRD feel on your arm pits unless you apply to much. Very light deodorant for your arm pits. I want to try to mens to see if it was the same.NOT FOR ACTIVE/SPORT NEEDS. If you get warm easily or doing any activity besides standing still or sitting, it needs to be reapplied several times with activity.Overall, nice if you don't do much activity, very lightheaded with putting on deodorant, or just need something to travel with.

I was concerned from the reviews that the cap would fall off and that the product would break off the base but neither has happened. The cap is nice and secure and the deodorant is robust. Keep in mind that you cannot press too hard given that the product is not encased in plastic, but that's a small price to pay. The case is modern and looks good on the bathroom shelf, while the product itself is effective. nice for travel too. I'm so glad not to be disposing of plastic and i hope Dove keeps the product line. i'll stick up on refills just in case!

I LOVED the refillable Dove deodorant. I’ve refilled it twice in the past with no issues. The formula is not as strong as their regular one, in terms of masking smell throughout the day, but I liked the sustainability factor and I think my body acclimated to it over time. Refilling it is a quick and easy process, which I like. It came time for me to refill it and usually I buy refills from Target, but I couldn’t find it in-store, so I bought this off of Amazon. I did not realize that they had changed the formula from translucent green to opaque white at the time of purchase. Furthermore, the plastic bit that holds the deodorant is different too. Even with the changes, I decided to give it a chance because I assumed it would be the same otherwise. The deodorant broke during the 2nd use, which was really disappointing. Clearly the new plastic bit does not grip onto the deodorant well enough. I don’t know why they changed it… I can’t find the original packaging and formula either, so I will be changing brands sadly. I really did like this deodorant a lot and I’ve been using Dove cucumber, since I first started wearing deodorant. I was never given a reason to switch, until now.
