Constant error codes, keeps resetting without actually progressing and Oh my gosh the touch control pad is awful, barely registers your pressing the button. Avoid avoid avoid.

We’ve had plenty of dishwashers over the years but this is by far the worst. Yes it cleans but that is all it can claim. The cutlery holder doesn’t fit anywhere inside. It’s as though they forgot to design a place for it. The front touchscreen panel is so insensitive to touch it takes forever to program it. And after a year the heat from the washer melts the glue on this panel so it repeatedly drops off. Buy ANY other dishwasher. WhT on earth were Hoover thinking?UPDATE: after 11 months this machine has now stopped working. Does not initialise when reset or when mains is switched on. Amazon have offered a full refund and are to collect this machine. Poor design and manufacture means I won’t even consider Hoover products again.

I have literally never known any appliance to go wrong as often as this does. I literally just managed to get it going again after it got stuck on ‘demo’ mode a few days ago (and following the instructions to turn that off did not work - it required unplugging it from the wall which means pulling it out from under the worksurface - which means I need to get help to do it so I had no dishwasher for two days - and it is not the first time that has happened either). This morning the rack has somehow jammed so it is now nearly impossible to get the upper rack in or out - I have no idea. It frequently comes out of the runner. I had to get it replaced after just a few weeks as it went so wrong. This time - as usual I sighed and re inserted it - only this time it somehow has not gone in right and now it won’t come out again and it won’t go in or out properly at all. It doesn’t wash well without a lot of rinsing. The plates don’t stack well - unless you are seriously clever they all fall over when you pul the rack in or out. The damned display turns on every time you lean slightly against it (it’s a kitchen - everyone stands against the counter as they make tea or chop things - that’s what you use kitchens for) and it is easy to accidentally turn off the display lock mechanism too, so that no matter what you do you accidentally run a load with no plates in it (as if we need bigger electricity bills now) or you accidentally turn it back into demo mode. I tried I tried to send it back but I had just missed the deadline to do so. But this thing is bloody useless and I would do almost anything to get rid of the damn thing. It is more trouble than it is worth. I have to rewash half of every load anyway. Upside down saucepans (it doesn’t like then for some reason and sometimes you would swear they had somehow been entirely exempted from the entire wash cycle). I recommend you avoid buying this thing at all costs. It’s a nightmare.
