Pros: Attractive honeycomb design, rigid but lightweight plastic, raised feet, non-slip surface, may be used on the countertop for drying as well as in the sink. Cons: Mat floats when there is only water in the sink. Mat does not lie flat and slightly bows upward. Side note: Construction of the mat reminds me of a laptop pad.

This mat is nice and rigid and has feet, which allows water and particles to flow underneath to the drain. It's a big improvement from my previous mat which did not have feet. I bought multiple mats and cut them to fit my sink using a Dremel, but without a tool like this, it would be very hard to cut.The only problem is that, as others have commented, the mat arrives very bowed. I'd say it's about an inch off the surface at the highest point? It's not a problem for me since my goal is to have space underneath for water to flow, but it might annoy others. I think with hot water + a weight you might be able to flatten it.

This did arrive a little raised in the middle as suggested in the other reviews but it did flatten out after a week or so. I did not cut a drain hole as I like the drain covered and the silverware does not fall in the drain hole.The raised feet keeps the water or liquids flowing down the drain and does not pool in the openings that flat sink mats make. The food fell through and went to the disposal as intended. The mat does clean well. I highly recommend.

Protects my porcelain sink from abrasions and chips when I'm scrubbing aluminum pans or iron skillets. The sink looks clean longer because the hex pattern masks stray food bits and minor stains between cleanings. The raised feet make it easy to give the sink a quick spritz that sends food bits to the disposal.

This mat is a thick hard plastic (the clear/light part) with a silicone insert (dark gray). Mine arrived bowed up in the center. I reverse flexed it to see if I could remove the bow, but it is so stiff that it just bounced right back to the bowed shape.As other reviews mentioned, it floats up when the sink is filled with water. However, I did not find this to be a great concern as it stays down when I place dishes to wash on it.

The stainless steel rack that came with my sink was too large to fit in my dishwasher, and if I washed it in the sink it would scratch the sink, so I turned to these protectors instead, and I'm VERY happy I did.My sink is 28.5 x 16, so I bought three of the large ones. (The manufacturer says they are 16", but they are more like 15.8, so they fit in my sink perfectly.) After putting in two protectors towards the sides (see photo), I then cut the third one to fit in the center. They are pretty hard, so at first I didn't think I'd be able to cut through it, but with sharp kitchen shears I cut on top of a cutting board so that I could press down on the scissor handles to complete the cuts.After two washes in my dishwasher they look as good as new.

I purchased this product because it had feet on the bottom to raise it up from the sink.However, when the package arrived, the mat was not flat but bowed. It has remained bowed and will not lay flat in the sink. Therefore the feet are useless. It is sturdy and heat resistant ( because I can't use heat to flatten it out.) It is useless to me.Throwing it out!

I bought this about 9 months ago. It works as I intended it to. I like that it has feet that keep it raised off the base of the sink, permitting water to flow underneath it. It fits perfectly in the sink and is easy to clean. It has 1 negative: it does not lay flat-it is a very thick plastic that has a slight bow in it. It does not lay completely flat. But, it protects my sink and my dishes, so it works.
