Fantastic Stylish Trash bin that is very sturdy. The simple human trash bags fit perfectly in this and are easy to install. The bags are very sturdy as well. It does tend to get finger print like smears on it, but it’s part in partial to having this chrome like look. It’s a bit more pricey than other trash bins and so are the bags, but the quality is undeniable.

Wasn't sure if this would fit in a small NY narrow kitchen, but it is perfect! Have been using it every day with the plastic bags from grocery stores and I'm sure it would work even better with the custom fitted bags the company makes, but the whole idea for me was to utilize a compact and self sealing unit, so for the near future, it will be plastic grocery bags. I purchased this because my old stainless steel can never gets full, so I was wasting the tall can size bags. I prefer to empty the garbage separate from paper anyway, and take the small garbage out every day or two. This company seems to be attentive to both quality and design. For those who live in a house or larger apartment, it would also be perfect as a bathroom can. One thing to keep in mind is that the step on lid means you need to plan to have this in a place where there is enough room tor the lid to open. The plastic inside liner can is easily removed so changing bags is easy and also easy to clean with a spritz of Lysol spray and a wipe with paper towel. Overall, very happy with it. And it looks terrific too, while still being sturdy.

This is our second Simple Human can. We bought our first Simple Human can 10 years ago when we bought a house with the kitchen by the front door where guests walked into the house. I wanted a can that looked kind of elegant, and had a hidden bag. It was the 30 Liter S.S. Butterfly model with slow close. It's been 10 years and it still works like it was new. My one caution is to watch out when little kids are around. They are fascinated by the slow closing feature, and they want to push down on it as it closes. Explain to them that they will break it. If you allow them push down on it enough, it will probably damage the seals in the air chamber and ruin it over time. Then it will just slam shut like a cheap lidded can. We needed a can with a lid for the bathroom also, to keep the mutts out of the garbage. In the bathroom, I got tired of using an off-brand can with a lid that didn't have dedicated bags, not to mention, having bad fitting bags that were a pain to use, visible, and ugly. This little 10L Simple Human can is beautiful, and is the perfect size for a bathroom. Now, i guess I'm going to have to get one for the other bathroom as well.

This is a smaller version of the Simplehuman garbage can we already had, which we are very happy with. We ordered this smaller version for composting stuff that we want covered until it's ready to be brought outside. It's an attractive can as garbage cans go and works very well. It's stainless steel that's easy to clean, it opens easily using the foot pedal, and softly closes automatically. It can also be used in a bathroom, bedroom, or any place where only a smaller can is needed. It's small but not too small. We're very happy with this purchase.

I like a lot of the products Simplehuman makes. I have a large can in my kitchen that I’ve had for years. Solid, opens and closes well, quiet operation, generous spacious interior, looks stylish even for a trash can so I’m not embarrassed to have it seen in the kitchen. In fact I like seeing it because it looks quite good. Great bags though a bit pricey. They’re making the bags thinner now by the way. My last order the bags are noticeably thinner. I love, love, love it( the can). So I needed a can in an area of the bathroom with almost no space. So thought I’d give this little one a try. And with a lid because I don’t like to see the trash. I’ve had it a short time so can’t speak to its durability but so far so good. I bought the bags meant for it though a person could use comparable sized bags to save a little.

With a kitchen full of new stainless steel appliances, it was time for an upgrade of the whole look. I knew that old "Rubber" brand open plastic trash container had to go. Bottles and cans go under the sink, but I keep a receptacle out in the open for the rest. The Sweethome website recommends a much larger Simplehuman model, too big for my use. But their review got me looking at the brand. I have always had reservations about trash cans with lids and peddles. A "step-and-pitch-it" tap dance would be required every time there was something to toss. With this one, the lid can be raised manually and it will stay up. When working in the kitchen, no tap dance needed. Then the lid can be closed after cleaning up. Another discovery, regular, generic, medium-size trash liners work perfectly. No need to buy the custom ones. I am very pleased with this purchase, more than I expected. It's not too big to be out in the open, but still the perfect size for incidental trash. It's also very attractive and helps give the kitchen a sleek and clean look. I can recommend this trash can without reservation.

Very poor build quality. Had two so far and they’ve now both gone back. The pedal for the lid is often skewed off centre, which looks to be because the bin cylinders themselves are all pre-twisted. Serious quality control issues clearly.

This little bin is of a perfect size and shape for my bathroom and is of a very high quality. Was impressed with free liners and details of how to purchase more of same, would highly recommend.
