these are going to last for decades. the burnished steel, perfectly cut and shaped, clean mechanism and comfort in the hand make this a flawless tool. plus… you get two sizes!

They're tongs, so there isn't much to say in how they work. However, I am very impressed with how they're made. I actually think these are the best value tongs out there, because they use ~2X thicker stainless steel in various places which matter, such as the lock pull tab. The rivets also seem strong. I've never heard of the Babish guy before, but I would recommend this particular product. They are also easy and comfortable to hold.

TLDR:Surprisingly high quality for such a low price. Don't bend and lose shape lifting heavy items. Look good in person. No sharp edges to easily scratch pans. Highly recommend.Pros:These really are sturdy. I've bought several other popular picks and they would bend easily. sometimes too easily to even pick up a large steak. These are solid.The satinesque finish looks as good in person as in the pictures and videos.Low price for what you're getting.Cons:The hinge uses a rivet. Only time will tell if the rivet is made of the same sturdy material or not. I prefer locking screws or something else that won't require a special tool to replace it. I don't like throwing things away that only need a 25 cent replacement part for many more years of use. But, I have a rivet tool so, kinda of a wash for me.Summary:I was very skeptical when I ordered these. I needn't have been. I am very happy with the strength and apparent durability of the material used, as well as it's aesthetics. I highly recommend this product for someone looking for inexpensive but not "cheap" tongs that are strong enough to effortlessly grab and flip 16 oz steaks.

If you’re looking to upgrade your thin, flimsy old tongs, these are what you’re looking for. They are heavy duty, easy to clean and work great. I will be buying more. Just throw them in your cart already. You won’t be disappointed.

I can tell they will last much longer then the cheapies. The locking thingy is heavier duty. I use these all the time and they are just a higher quality. The hinge is nice and tight while free moving as well.

Lightweight, durable, and most importantly - no silicone grasps which eventually become loose and fall off. Was looking to replace ones I had with silicone attachments. These are a good size, weight, and don't heat up when cooking with them, so the silicone is not even necessary. Easy to clean and use. Very pleased.

Never used straight tongs before. The ones we usually buy are curved to have a better overall grip. Haven't had any issues yet using these tongs yet.The tongs are very sturdy and hopefully will last a long time compared to the thinner ones we've had in the past.

Really like the heavier material and the absence of any rubber-like materials that will not grab anything. Also a plus is that when you close them for storage they stay closed and don’t spontaneously explode when placed in your drawer.

Good solid tongs. Good grip on foods. Stylish. I really like the lock feature which is well thought out. The tongs can easily be hung from a hook or be put into a drawer or utensil crock without splaying open, I clean the inner edges with a bottle brush and I appreciate that the inner edges don't slice up my fingers like my old tongs had done. There is no metal loop that can rust like my old tongs had. These are just really good tongs! Very good quality! And they look really good!

I've been looking for a pair of tongs that won't bend when lifting heavy pieces of meat like a roast. This is strong enough not to bend and the positive lock is perfect as it doesn't slip in and out.
