Design , quality, size
This is the best rock tawa i have seen so far. Its perfectly sleek in thickness , not too heavy, works perfectly and would rate 10 for 5. Worth every penny.

Good, not the best though
It definitely needs a large burner. The small burners in regular stoves only heats the mid portion and the food gets burnt in the middle while, the ones on the sides takes longer. And a slight or minute misaligned. The oil goes to one side when poured. I changed the positions of the tawa on the stove, but it goes to the same side. So, I'm a bit unlucky to have got a slightly defective tawa. Otherwise, seasoning stays on quite well. I use it for dosa and fish fry. Helps the purpose, but might be better.

Good Cast Iron Tawa
Good value for money product from Rock brand. On the packaging it was mentioned preseasoned but still it is recommended to season it before first use. It will take a few days to get perfect dosas. Overall happy with the purchase. Huge value for money.

Number 1 tawa
I seasoned it once again before using, and I was good to go. Even the first dosa came perfectly. You really rock "Rock dosa tawa". The tawa he heavy and sturdy. I'm sure it will last for generations.

Honest review after 3 weeks usage
I liked everything about the product except the size. Initially dosa didn't come out well. I had to season it again. After that, omg, dosa turned out so crispy and never stick to the pan. The only disadvantage is the size, the heat doesn't get distributed well to the outer corners, so if u make pan full size dosa, outer corners r not cooked well. Except this part, rest all is ok. This is my first ever cast iron cookware, am so happy purchasing rock brand.would be buying more items from my wishlist.Sesasoning steps I followed: soak the pan in cooked rice starch water for 2 days. Then wash it off thoroughly using mild diswash soap. Wipe it using a cotton cloth. Now midly heat the tawa in slowest flame just to evaporate all moisture. Turn off the flame. Once tha tawa is cooled, generously apply sesame oil on all surfaces including back, handle. Leave this aside for 1 or 2 days.if u feel oil gets absorbed, keep applying oil. After 2 days, use it by wiping off excess oil and rubbing with a cut onion. Always use medium flame, room temperature dosa batter. Make sure dosa tawa is always oil coated.
