Used this to install a custom window. It made even my work look professional. (1/4" glass into a 1/8" panel.) And no leaks!Unsolicited advice: I've never had success using the soapy string. It's a great product for window replacement. But, depending on where it is on the vehicle l, it may be a two person job; do yourself a favor, install it wetted down with warm soapy water, after letting it warm up in the sun, and use window installation tools to get it seated properly. You'll save yourself lots of time and frustration if you do those steps!!!

I was replacing an old window gasket from a motor home and an original wasn't available so I purchased this after looking closely at its design. I took my time and managed to replace all eight feet of gasket with no leaks. What more can you say? Though it wasn't the original gasket design, a little manipulation made it work and work well.

with limited experience installing two piece gaskets, i ordered the one piece style gasket and the hooked installation tool to renew the side/rear window seals on a 1967 mercedes benz van (L406dg).the 100 foot roll arrived in double boxed packaging.i had read enough to know any gasket material exposed to the elements shrinks over time so cutting oversized pieces then making them fit was my goal.the 100' roll needed to cover about 60' worth of window openings, plenty for mistakes, overages, etc.for 90 degree cuts my tool of choice was a hose cutter with an inch and a half blade. the 45's were made with a combination of hose cutter and razor knife/builders square.im five windows into nine total and still not sure ive developed a "technique" for locking the gasket. part of it is my left handedness while using a tool made for righties.there have been moments when the correct combination of added moisture, angle of attack, and flow of movement have resulted in several inches of progress locking the gasket into place. progress is measured mostly in half inch increments.the product looks great in place! it's replacing fifty year old two piece gasket that had shrunk, faded, and finished serving its purpose long ago.

Used this to put plexiglass in the front of my topper, it was a real pain in the ass to install, soapy water and patience is key to installing this! Works great though!

Extremely difficult to use. We struggled with putting a window in our steel boat for over 4 hours. I work on everything, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding and metal fab. Installing this window defeated me. We finally called a local glass shop who sent a guy out, he struggled with it for a couple hours too. Trim lok has videos online that show a guy installing a window in a few minutes. Perhaps it was a perfectly cut window on a perfectly cut hole. Hire a pro, I will never try this again.
