Murder, She Wrote: Panning for Murder Mass Market Paperback – September 2, 2008

this book starts out slow like a lot of murder she wrote books do and then, and then it is hard to put down, i like it so much i ordered another one to keep of this book in hard cover, and am giving this one to one of my sister in laws who like to read mystery novels

This was the first of 6 of the series that I've read that I knew who the bad guy was about half-way through, but that may just say more about my personal history than the writer's talent. I would have loved to learn more about the actual mining for gold in Alaska, but the book's description of bush plane flying has left me with a new year's goal to learn to fly a plane ... and when you get something like that out of an enjoyment book it says a lot. The characters on the cruise ship were lovely, Gladys will probably stay with me forever. Too bad we can't have a spin off of her!

I have read many of the Murder She Wrote books which have all been very well written and interesting. This particular story, based in Alaska and for some parts on a cruise ship, was not disappointing. Although I found it to be more predictable than some of the others, it kept me wanting to find out what was going to happen next. I did miss the rest of the crew from Cabot Cove, but it was made up for by some interesting and colorful characters. I would recommend it for any true Murder She Wrote fans. Never disappointing.

I’ve enjoyed the Jessica Fletcher books for years and “Panning for Murder” did not disappoint. I had an uneasiness about the killer before he was revealed, but could not predict the outcome as it unfolded. Always a good read.

Informative and interesting tidbits about Alaska. I enjoy reading a book that gives enough background information without getting bogged down. Enjoyed the read and looking forward to more. I was very pleased with the good condition of the used book. It was everything I hoped for and would buy for from the distributor in the future.

An outstanding book that I fully enjoyed reading. I had my suspicious that Bill was too good to be true. As it turns out in the end he was rotten to the core.

Arrived in a timely manner and in good shape. We are planning a trip to Alaska and this books has a lot of information on the same places we are visiting. Especially interesting since I love Jessica's mysteries.
