Monocular Telescope 12x50 High Definition With Quick Smartphone Adapter&Tripod&Hand Strap Waterproof Night Vision Monoculars for Bird Watching Hunting

The media could not be loaded.  When this first came in, I noticed that this monocular telescope does come with a tripod and a phone holder that hooks onto the tripod. Setting this up on my phone is a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. The phone holder allows me to have everything aligned, especially when I'm trying to take photos while out and about. I was afraid the weight of my phone was going to tip this over but everything is very well balanced out. Now when it comes to the telescope itself, I can not only see things clearly miles away but have a completely clear view, as long as I adjust the telescope so I can see. The eye area is where you turn to allow you to focus things in place. The pictures I was able to take when on a recent hike was a lot better than I could have gotten, even with my expensive camera. This can either be used with anyone's phone in my family and our small digital camera. We can even use this by itself like with our binoculars. Very lightweight and easy to hold. When it comes to cleaning either lens, we just use a lens cleaning rag that we use on our glasses and it gets them clean without streaking. Really does come in handy a lot more than I thought it would.

Unit is compact and easy to hold, adjust. However, depth of field is quite narrow, so you will have to carefully focus on the object/distance of your interest. I will be using it to see stationary targets, so it will work for me. If I wanted to view wildlife or moving objects, I don't think it would be satisfactory. The cellphone camera mount is quite fussy and crude. It is isn't difficult to mount, but it is frustratingly difficult to line up with the lens. I don't find the mount at all useful and the image I get is not useful to me. You end up with a smallish round image that is about a third of the size of the photo possible. Couple that with the wide-angle lens on most cellphones and you get a less-than-sized image at a less-than-possible magnification. To be clear, that is not the fault of the monocular, it is just a function of cellphone cameras, they are not made to couple with telephoto lenses. Added to the short depth of field of the monocular, you would have a difficult time focusing on a moving object.

Things I Like:- Great build quality. Seems durable yet light enough to bring on many trips.- I can see super far with high detail (the picture attached doesn't do it justice - it looks a lot better in person).- Comes with a bunch of accessories like a strap, tripod, phone mount, and lens covers- Can be used with glasses or without. The eye piece can be pulled inwards to be used with glasses, or outwards to use without.- Standard tripod threads so you can use it with other tripodsThings that could be better:- Very minor, but it's a little bit difficult to mount certain phones so that its camera aligns with the eyepiece. That being said, I bet most monoculars have the same issue.

I tried to return it and Amazon who usually takes returns would not take this one. That alone makes it very Important to warn people. That they will not be able to return this if they don’t like the quality as I did not like the quality. Also to put salt in the wound I paid 49.00 for it and One week later it’s ten dollars cheaper than I paid. This tells me you still don’t stand behind your products like all the other venders on Amazon. Your the only one who won’t take returns and credit back the money. I will now add to my review and let people know about your no return Policy. That once again is inferior service to other companies. I order on line because usually you can return it. We can’t touch it or see it from a pic so the only reason to take a chance is if your not satisfied you can return it. This item is not quality and it does not work well so I wanted to return it. Amazon said NO because it has a gas in it. I am warning you don’t order this if it does not live up to what it says or you don’t think it’s worth the money. Your stuck with it and have lost your money. From now on I will only order what I already know I like have seen in a store but don’t try new items this is a new policy of Amazon’s

Product is cheap in every sense of the word. Plus they are false advertising this product. In the description at the very top it states “Nightvision”, this product does not have night vision. I should’ve known better, it was too good to be true. Very disappointed.

It's ok. Not sure what night vision they meant, but I can see better at night without it. The cell phone holder and stand aren't great

It was a good value at the price point. However while being as good if not better than it is advertised, it left me wishing that I had paid more for one with more features.

My husband has wanted one of these for awhile now, and I ordered and paid for one that cost alot more which we never received or have been refunded for from another shopping site. This time, I ordered it for him for father's day and he loved it. I love that I was able to finally get it for him after he had waited so long for the last one. I am extremely happy to have gotten him a gift that he asked for and he seems to love using it.
