Electro-Voice ELX115P 15" Live X Two-Way Powered Loudspeaker

The media could not be loaded. After owning the same model for 20 we decided to order another one.Our original EV speaker was used for multiple events a month, for about 10-15 years . Speaker was never babied and it held up for a long time. Sadly the amp went out after so much abuse . We found the amp online for 300$ but might as well get a a crispy new one. Sound quality is crisp , loud , and it has a full range and regular treble mode. The sub it comes with is good enough if your just trying to use it at a small function .I recently went to guitar center and tried out the new EV top speakers and sadly they don’t make them how they used to … they weighed less than 15 pounds sound quality wasn’t the same .Highly recommend this top speaker to any person who’s not trying to cheap out on qualityFor 900$ it’s worth every pennyShipping was fast , no damage , new . I was torn between buying the JBL PRX 615's, The QSC KW152, and these. Since they were all 1000w 2-way PA speakers, it mostly came down to price. Most of my experience is with JBL and Mackie, and I wasn't "thrilled" about getting a set of EV's. But I have to say, I'm impressed. Light weight, clean looking and sounding. My only complaint would be the thinner grill on the front. Taking these speakers out of the shipping boxes, I bumped one and put a slight dent/dimple in the front of the grill. I'm sure I can take it off and press it flat again, but it sucks to have to do that to a brand new item. They could have used a slighty heavier grade of mesh, and it may protect them a little better. Other than that. I love these things.

Absolutely incredible speaker.I have used this speaker for 5 or so events now and it has performed beyond expectations each time. In the most recent application, single speaker elevated on a speaker stand provided enough sound reinforcement to cover a 20 by 60 foot walled yard with out flinching.The only complaint I would have against the speaker is the smell when new. I am not alone in this as a google search turned up the same "weed" smell. However, after the break in period the smell, which apparently comes from the adhesive used on the speaker cones, dissipated.Again, can't recommend this speaker enough and I will purchasing the ELX118ps soon with the hope they are as good as these speakers.

Sounds good. Wood chips and grill is damaged easily. Wouldn't recommend to use for a mobile system.

I have 2 of these little speakers and absolutely love them. Have not had to boost the volume in order to get them cranked up and have to constantly bring the volume down as people complain that it is too loud. I had bought a woofer but have not had to use it as the speakers pack a powerful punch.

I had a very bad experience with this provider, I sent a speaker used when I pay for a new one. besides this speaker not working, I had to return it and I could not hold an event I had for this weekend. do not buy this provider. I feel very frustrated.

These are amazing speakers but I feel people need to know that you can get this exact speaker for a lot less. These are just the original plywood version of the ZLX series. The ZLX are plastic cabs but have the same 15" driver, 1.5" comp driver and 1,000 watt amplifier. If you know audio then you should know that a cab this small in size and power will perform the same in plastic. Go with the ZLX15P and get the same quality and EV sound at a lower price and it's only 38lbs.
