The Lost
This book was excellent! If you are a reader who likes books with mystery and a hint of spiritual stuff this is the book for you. I started off reading one chapter a day since I bought it on holiday but then it started gripping me. It is a book that you don't want to end. It was the first Alex Shearer book I read and I am sure that i'm going to be reading lots more of his books. Read this book!!!!!!!Comment by Bookladybird1998

A BRILLIANT PAGE TURNER!
I couldn't put this book down! It kept me interested all the way through, and I had to find out how it ended! I loved the way Alex Shearer told the story from Joe's point of view and then switched (only two or three times) to tell it from Jonah's point of view! A great read!

What A Masterpeice
I would recommend 'The Lost' to absolutely anyone. Alex Shearer uses various cliff hangers to create dramatic effects. His suspicious yet clear storyline will certainly keep you guessing. The story is about two boys, Joe and Jonah. They are both best friends, however one day Jonah goes missing on his quest to find a fire. Once all of the police have given up on Jonah's life Joe decides to take matters into his own hands. He is faced with many dangers along the way. Will the strong bond of frienship prevail? You'll have to read the book to find out. 'The Lost' is a sci-fi thriller that I believe will appeal to all teenagers. It is not too difficult to read but it is also not an easy book either. If you would like to widen your range of vocabulary or even just lose yourself in the author's world, 'The Lost' is the book for you.

Read This Book!!!!!!!!!!
I loved this book. Alex Shearer has you turning the pages franticly to see if Jonah will ever be rescued. The book has an amazingly thrilling turn of events when Joe befriends the seemingly normal Anna. I loved this book and I've just started reading The Fugitives another book by Alex Shearer!

Great Adventure
This book was easy to get in to from the word GO,if you like adventure then this is a great book for all ages. There were no clues to where the missing boy would be and if he was still alive, which kept you on your toes all the way to the end,i had to give this book a 5 star rating because i thoroughly enjoyed it the whole way through. Its one of them books that you think about during the day and cant wait to settle down in to it again in the evening.Well done.
