CarryOn Max Premium case for Airpods Max

Just received it and seems to be pretty solid. AirPods fit nicely inside. It’s soft enough so it won’t scratch them, and they fit tight enough so they won’t move around. The magnet seems to do its job putting it into low power mode and the little cable case is a nice touch. I can actually fit the apple usb c brick on top of the cable case and close it shut without really forcing it. I still think I may look for a slightly slimmer brick but I don’t think it’s necessary. Lastly, I’ve seen people complain about the size of different AirPods max cases but I don’t quite get that. The headphones are big so the case is gonna be big. However, they are freakin awesome so I don’t mind using up some space in my bag when I travel. Anyway, if you’re in the market this case is worth a look.

I've been using this case for about 3 weeks. It's solidly built, fits the AirPods well, seems to offer good protection, and doesn't have the chemical smell that's common in cases in this price range.The only negative is that the magnet-triggered sleep functionality is incredibly unreliable. When I first got the case, I put the AirPods in it fully charged, and then didn't use them for a few days. When I took them out, the battery was nearly dead. The magnets are there and do work, but I find that the headphones have to be positioned precisely for them to actually go to sleep. Whenever I put the headphones away, I have to check the battery widget on my iPhone to make sure they actually turn off (they disappear from the widget while sleeping). It works maybe 50% of the time -- sometimes they'll even turn off, but then come right back on if I move the case! Having to double check that the AirPods are actually going to sleep every time I put them away makes using the case a frustrating experience.As things currently stand I don't think I could recommend this case, but I hope they'll make an updated version with stronger magnets. If they could make the sleep functionality more reliable, the case would be an outstanding value.Update 11/19: After using this case for about 3 months I’m lowering my rating to 2 stars. I’ve experienced several more instances of taking the headphones out of the case to find the battery nearly dead, no matter how carefully I try to place them in the case. Whether they’ll actually go into the sleep mode seems entirely random. I’m going to be looking for another case and would not recommend these.

I ended up trying 4 or 5 cases and finally settled on this one. It protects my AirPods very well, much better than the lame case they come with. It’s not to bulky and I love the soft interior and it even comes with a small cord storage case.

It was pretty good, it’s what I expected it to be, and the price was right.

Do not buy if you have any of the light colored APM. It has discolored my headband and ear cups. The ear cups can be replaced, but no replacements are offered for the headband yet. I have tried everything to remove the stains but they won't come off. My own fault for buying a cheap product for my $500 headphones.And no, the stains are not from personal use. I only wear them for an hour or so at a time, if that, and then they go right back in the case.

Like the exterior texture and zippers. Included cable pouch is a plus.
