Excellent product, and solves a big problem.
I'm very happy with the product and the purchase overall.Positives:: - Looks great - Solid construction - Obviously, provides security - Not so obviously, it's great to have a raised solid surface in the back (set things there...bigger advantage than you might assume) - Nice designNegatives: - Two of the nutserts that clearly should have been there were not; solved this by drilling and placing a bolt in those locations - Rear most bolt to body is impossible to thread into place since one can't reach to place the bolt once the top is on [I plan to solve this by mounting nutserts (threaded rivets) in that location] - Unit also arrived with no key, so I had to leave it in the locked open position until Aries sends a keyWhile the negatives could knock this review to four versus five stars, I think the product itself is great, and worth these additional hassles. Aries has been reachable, and is sending a key. Oddly, they have never heard a complaint about the rear most bolt mounting issue I included above in the "Negatives" section. It's hard to imagine I'm the only person who doesn't have a 1" thick arm, or that I'm that stupid that I can't do what every other person can in terms of mounting a bolt. That said, perhaps one day the light bulb will light for me as to how someone is supposed to get that last bolt into place. Also, budget a good amount of time to put this on. I probably spent over three hours, and the Aries employee even said "these things can be a pain to put on, but they are really good once they're mounted".In summary, I'm a big fan of this product. The solid construction and functionality are wonderful. I just use a bikini top in the summer, so having this closed off safely is great. I had been using the Bestop canvas cover, and was quite happy with that. Now that this solid cover is on I'm continually pleased with the number of times I find to set things on the new table top. Locking is great, but having that solid, clean surface is super useful.

Dissapointed in Quality and Packaging
Very disappointing purchase. Very big fan of Aries products. I own their front and back tube doors, fenders, and rear bumper - so had higher expectations. Have given their other products Five Stars. Every panel ended up being dented or bent. Granted, there is no telling how delivery companies handle product, but it is not packed well at all given weight of box versus pretty delicate aluminum panels. Unfortunately, I had already removed my Garvin Roof Rack and Hard Top before unboxing, or I would have returned. I work out of my jeep, so know I will incur scratches and dents down the line, but magic is lost starting with it already beat up. Prior orders from Aries were well packaged, but also a lot more solid parts that were fine by just being well bubble wrapped. This had no corner protections, and attached picture shows every flat panel bent, with paint already flaking off.Additionally, they could go the extra mile, and individually package different size nuts, bolts, and washers - as well as not having instructions that are photo copies of black and white pictures that are not easily visible. To their credit, they have very good installation videos for all of their products. Besides damaged panels, the package was missing the fasteners needed on the support bracket on the passenger side.Fit was not good, and could be the result of the damaged panels. The tolerance for the locking bar is very small, so I had to remove the rubber gourmet and bore a half inch hole for locking rods to secure the top. Now I will have to find something to eliminate slight rattle.Where they really missed the boat on this design is in the lack of any type of water infiltration. They do not advertise it to hold out water, but could have easily been designed to have a slight lip and gasket that would have done the trick. Not that it would make it water tight, but right now, nothing keeps water from draining between panels. The weather stripping that goes on the folding panel is useless, as the tailgate of the JK is designed with a slight curve. The rear panel is straight, so even with the weather-stripping there is an inch gap. So if driving, and rain water is directed back, and into the bed. Easily remedied if they had followed the curved contour of the tail gate, rather than a straight cut. Again, it is not marketed as such, but at close to $500, should perform better since it is an option to be used with the top down. I usually go top down, with bikini top and tonneau cover.Bottom line - looks great, is unique, but performance is lacking, and packaging is subpar

BE CAREFUL
Be careful.... even if the site says it fits your 2 door... it does not. Metal is very thin with that crackle coat finish which is bound to peel off quickly after exposure to the elements over time ( flexing from thin metal and heat/cold). I suppose it would be ok if top was on ... but who leaves their top on? I wouldn't suggest this item to any of my jeep friends. If you have a mallcrawler this is for you (and there is nothin wrong with a crawler). But again, this is NOT heavy duty by any means.
