damaged & did not receive 200g NET WT
Received this bag with a large piece of clear tape over the back. Suspecting it had been damaged and taped shut, I weighed the unopened bag to find it weighs exactly 200g. This should weigh more since NET weight is just the product and does not include the packaging. After opening it I weighed the bag only, which was 11g. That leaves 189g of the product. So I am missing 5%. Additionally these Amla berries appear to be moldy. Best before date is good, being May of 2027, but certainly not something I'd eat! And I am even reluctant to use in a low poo shampoo recipe. Please be aware that these may not be edible!

Doesn’t taste great but adds a flare to tea! Super good for you too
I never expected these to taste good as Indian gooseberry doesn’t taste very good to begin with, but I love the benefits of it! Great to add a few to your tea!

Real dried amla fruit was crunchy and hard, but great value for price
While I found the price to be great, what I was expecting from Spicy World's Dried Amla Fruit was very different than what I actually experienced with regard to eating the amla fruit. So, when I took the amla fruit out of its ziplock bag, I noticed it had little to no malleability like with other dried fruit like raisins, which was okay once I learned how to get around this. However, the amla fruit was mostly very crunchy and mildly hard. Also I found pieces of the seed still inside the fruit, but the seed pieces were easy to take out of the amla fruit -- still, not what I expected. More importantly, I knew this was amla fruit because as expected there was a very sour taste, very similar to eating a chewable vitamin c tablet, and as is well-known, amla fruit is high in vitamin c. Despite lacking sweetness, which I expected because it is fruit, I mostly enjoyed eating Spicy World's Dried Amla Fruit, and it had a pleasant aroma. What I did to soften the amla fruit was soak it in water for about an hour, and what this did was create sort of an amla fruit tea, which tasted great, but caused the amla fruit itself to lose its flavor. With that said, and in my opinion, this amla fruit is reasonably priced, but is better for making teas than for eating it right out of the bag.

Good quality!
We keep these Alma berries soaking in apple cider vinegar in the fridge and eat several a day. Juicy and tasty and an excellent way of getting antioxidants.
