Should i pick my hair or just use the sponge to twist my hair, and should i use sponge while washing my hair?

Don’t pick your hair... Just use the sponge. You can use the pick to lift depending on length don’t pull all the way through hair. Don’t use the sponge while washing your hair. The circular motion will cause tangles that’s not what this sponge is for. Check out tutorials on YouTube. Some use just a spray of water some use products with the sponge. Good Luck!

Does it damage or makes your hair dry

No they don't damage your hair.. they do give you nice twists. You have to moisturize your hair anyway and it's best to sleep on a satin pillowcase or a satin sleep cap. Just make sure when you are wearing your hair natural that you make sure to moisturize your hair all the way down to the roots.

I just received my sponges and they're all the same design and size. The description reads varied, and the photos show different sponges, but all of my sponges that I just received are the same.

does it matter what conditioner you use?

it does not matter, the hair sponge works best on hair that is slightly damp. You can apply a light conditioner, gel, or even just water to your hair before using the hair sponge.
