ND-A18 Stainless Steel Coconut Grater (Silver, Table Mount, Hand Operated)

This little machine is wonderful. The crank uses a ball bearing shaft. The bearings were a little tight when I first unpacked it, but they were easy to adjust (like a wheel on a bicycle.) The whole unit is very strong and it makes quick work of any coconut - producing very soft and fluffy coconut shreds. I love this little gadget.

I would give this thing four stars, but i give it three because there is always an issue with it when you try to crate or scrape the coconut. No matter how tight you tighten the bottom screw with the table it will wiggle before you finish one coconut. So that you have to always tighten that bottom nut or screw. and it is painful and exhausting!

Mom wanted to buy a coconut scrapper, as we bought an expensive one in the past. It wasn't good, because it was heavy and bulky. So I went online on Amazon again to buy a cheaper one, that you can put away in a small space.Unfortunately, my mom passed away two weeks ago. Mom never got a chance to use it. She asked me to give it to her best friend. Her best friend likes it and offered to pay me the money I bought from here.I'm giving it a five star because my mom's friend likes it. But when she uses it, it reminds her of her friend who passed away and the son, which is me, who lives without his mom.

Used it to shred coconuts. The tool is build with some crude construction but it seems solid. I was able to mount it onto my counter and shred it. The end product was fantastic but I did cut myself trying to wash it afterwards. The protective plastic cup for the blade doesn’t fit.

I tried a sucket cup grater and a industrial grade grater. While the suction cup one was a pain to use, this one is clamped and doesn't move. Helps tremendously if you want to grate fast. The protective plastic cover is great, if you have kids around.This is more like fix once and use it. Typically finds it's place in the kitchen island. It's a hassle to move it around.The only gripe would be the price.

This does not stay well and slips around when scraping the coconut. The handle does not rotate smoothly. The base should be wider . I don't recommend this.

This is a great tool to have in your kitchen if you want fresh grated coconut!It took me about 10-12 minutes to finish a medium size coconut.It's way easier compare to my grandma's back breaking coconut shredder stool.It clamped perfectly onto my kitchen counter and I also love the blade cover for safe storage.
