Quick & easy to install; worked first time and continues to work!
I have a video card that requires both an 8-pin and 6-pin PCI-E plug. Unfortunately, my PSU has only one 6-pin PCI-E plug for the video card. Rather than buy a new PSU (I have a 550W), I purchased this 8-Pin PCIe to Molex (2X) power cable to meet the additional 8-pin power plug requirement to have my video card work. I was a bit skeptical that it would work as it required 2 molex plugs to carry the correct power to the video card. Upon arrival of the 8-Pin PCIe to Molex (2X) Power Cable, I immediately opened the box, followed the directions, and plugged it in to the appropriate (and available) molex outlets. Fired up the computer and the video card was instantly recognized by the software (which it had not been without the 8-pin plug). For the price I paid for the 8-Pin PCIe to Molex (2X) Power Cable compared to buying a new PSU, it is well worth the money I saved. This cable has been working steady with no problems for the past 4 weeks. I can also use the additional 8-Pin PCIe cable for another, older computer I use for casual gaming. I would buy this item again without a second thought. Amazon delivered the product much, much faster than what was forecast. Greatly appreciated!

Works!
Does what is advertised. A two pack is really nice even though I only needed one. Made my old PSU work with my new GPU. Worth it!

Great customer service
OK quality. One of the cables did not work. I contacted Cable Matters and they sent a replacement out to me right away. The molex connector can be hard to plug in. Overall, decent cables for the price that you pay.

Great adapter cable, saved me from having to buy additional power supply. Great price too!
Great adapter cable, saved me from having to buy additional power supply. Plugged it into my Rx 580 card on my rig, running for 3 days now, cables are not even warm to the touch. Plugged right in, worked on first boot up and I now have a spare adapter. The price for the package of 2 was cheaper than just buying one. Without it, my options were to run 2 cards of same power line on my power supply (not recommended) or purchase an additional power supply. This was a much cheaper and effective option.

These look good
I bought these to keep on hand for future repairs. They seem to be made of quality materials and fit into the connection on a video card perfectly.

It works
Look, if you're on this page, looking at this item. You have a very specific need. They work for that need.My powersupply had enough output, but for whatever reason I just didn't have enough plugins for my new graphics card. I converted some of my extra weird plugs into normal ones and it works great. My computer snob buddy told me NEVER to convert, but as a dude that has converted stage lights, car hookups, and general electrical many times in my life, sometimes far more ghetto than this....it's great. You need this cord, that's why you're here. Buy it, and get your compy up and running.

Good
It’s a good cord but don’t suggest it for a 550w or up it could melt I use a 500w power supply and if gets insanely hot but it works for my 3060
