Can it be used in water?

I have never used it this way. I have sprinkled it on top of dry pellets with no issue, as they still get the powder on their tongues when they pick up the food. I have also sprinkled it on fresh fruits/veggies and occasional treats, but never mixed it in water. I am sure that EquaHolistics- the maker of this wonderful product- will answer for you.

Can I use this without a prescription?

Yes. this is an over-the-counter supplement. You may want to check with your vet to see if he reccomends a specific prescription, but it is not required for this product.

What is the expiry date for this product?

The jar I just got (June 2019) has an expiration date of August 2020.
