best grip ever for bombing harsh hills on mountain bike.
I've tried sooooo many, and this is by far the best. Here's why: 1. no occlusion of your screen 2. I've bombed down super rocky hills and it does not slip out at all (yes, it looks like it might, but it doesn't) 3. Pretty easy to get in and out - not quite one-handed tho. 4. Good quality build. I've had it for several months now and it's looking and working great 5. Totally worth the price, which ain't half bad!

Excellent option to put & remove slate smartphone from handlebar
I only bought this on Amazon because the local bike advocacy nonprofit's store I was looking at was out of stock of the Nite Ize Squeeze phone holder. I like how this form factor/type of bike smartphone holder is the easiest to securing and removing your phone from your handlebar. If you have a rear-facing fingerprint scanner (such as on the Pixel 4a), then you can still easily access such a fingerprint scanner. Not that it really matters, but I do like the transparent color option very much. However, I think the Nite Ize Squeeze is only good for "small" phones. It seems to not be big enough for the Pixel 5a when I ride my bike. You have to really, really tighten the rubber strap to ensure the phone doesn't rotate up/down on round handlebars (i.e., with circular cross-sections). Even with the Pixel 4a, depending on how bumpy my ride (I'm a non-professional bicyclist) is and how I initially position my phone; the Nite Ize Squeeze phone holder sometimes still seems to slip and rotate just enough to necessitate my intervention to rotate the phone holder back - and this is when I tighten the rubber strap as much as possible. (Trust me, it won't break when the Nite Ize Squeeze is brand new.) Also, the Nite Ize Squeeze won't protect your phone if the weather suddenly rains. Although this isn't something that the Nite Ize Squeeze is built for, I wanted to point this out: as I rode in the rain with this one time. The Nite Ize Squeeze was fine, as it dries out fairly easily, but my phone's charging port almost stopped working. Luckily, I only had to clean out the charging port of my Pixel 4a with a fine toothbrush and rubbing alcohol to get it to work again; but this was enough to cause me to look for another phone mount solution, besides the Nite Ize Squeeze, which would be able to withstand sudden light rain.

The only bike phone holder that works
The only bike phone holder that works! I’ve tried so many and so glad I’ve finally found this one that actually holds my phone firmly even riding on bumpy terrain.

Easy way to bring your phone with you
Sure, you can stuff your phone into your jersey pocket or you can put it in a saddle bag but it sure is nice to have it front and center on your handlebars. I originally bought this to use on my bike during Zwift sessions so I could see the route on my phone while seeing the main screen on my monitor in front of me. I found that it works perfectly, absurdly easy to simply squeeze, insert my phone and have it held with perfect tension every time. Then I decided to try it while out on the road riding. I wasn't entirely sure at first but what I found is that the same grip is there, confidently holding my phone however the nature of the mount means that it does wiggle a little. No, the phone isn't loose, its just the mount inherently has some movement when the road gets bumpy; I wish it was a little more stable if but at the same time I am 100% confident in it. No, you don't need to have your phone right there in front of you but you know what? Once you try this you'll realize that you'll want to and that makes it well worth the price.

Easy to use. Haven't dropped a phone yet.
After two years and 7,000 miles on two bikes, I haven't had any issues with my phone coming loose yet. I ride streets, but the potholes and brick paving around here are enough to make my water bottles fly. I have an iPhone 11 Pro that was in a slippery plastic case till that wore out recently, now it's in a more grippy silicone case. Both work fine in this holder. I can manage to release and replace my phone in the mount with one hand while I'm riding, although it's a bit tricky. Very easy using both hands. The strap needs to be very tight on my cargo bike handlebars or it will slip, but the strap seems to take the strain ok. The photos show it mounted on my cyclocross bike stem. If I needed another bike phone mount, I'd just buy another one of these. It leaves the full screen accessible as well as the side buttons, and the charger port at the bottom is clear, too, so I can use a navigation app with an external battery pack plugged in on long rides. The phone does tend to rotate in use, but very slowly. I can live with that. My headlight does the same thing.

Strap came loose and it fell off my bike while riding. Lucky my phone wasn't damaged. Maybe the most under-engineered usless/pathetic thing I've ever bought

iPhones in different sizes all fit snug. Super easy and quick to attach mobile to the holder. I'd buy it again and prefer it a lot over the holder with the rubber bands. That thing is a mess. Buy this one.
