Promises much but delivers little
Brand expectations were high and aesthetics were promising when you look at the pictures and read the marketing material. The reality is disappointing. This is an average every-day product and not an icon to be cherished. The all-black exterior looks attractive but I found the diamond cut finish to be flat and unremarkable. The ink flows freely, to keep up the Cross reputation but I found the nib to be sensitive and unforgiving. If you do not hold this pen at the perfect angle to the page, it will punish you and not perform. I was looking for a stylish upgrade to replace my daily Lamy but I need smooth relentless performance as well as good looks and this pen is not what it promised to be.
