Q: is this set hard to build?

not at all. there is no lego set that is "hard to build" they are made for children. (of all ages ;) )

Q: Does this lego come in a sealed original Lego box?

yes and it brand new and all sealed and intact.

Q: why did th price droppp so much?

Lego discontinued this set because it offends some people who have a mosque that looks like this palace. When this was in the news it spiked the price as people wanted to acquire the remaining stock. I believe everyone got what they wanted and the price dropped significantly but not back to the original $80.
