Q: Will the small size fit 7year old boy?

For an average size 7 or 8 year old it would be snug. It fits my 10 y old perfect, with a large.

Q: What can i do to make the t-shirts feel softer

I have not been able to get them softer.

Q: I need a size 12/14 what size does that translate to?

I got Medium for my son who was a size 8/10, and they fit well for extra warmth under his baseball uniform. I would say Large or even XL depending on how you want them to fit.

Q: I'm looking for long sleeve t's for tie-dying. Looking for a shirt that's not to thin. How are these shirts?

These shirts are thick and rather rough feeling. 100% cotton. Would love it if they were butter soft.
