History of France: A Captivating Guide to French History (European Countries)

Very uninteresting and badly printed copy.

Very readable, improved my understanding of French history. Some references and an index at the end would be useful. I will certainly go onto read other books in series, any chance of writing a history of Europe? Prehistory to modern?

I like all the Captivating and Enthralling History books I have read. They give a good overview of different historical subjects.

Great book, well written and full of interesting facts about France and its history.

This book is not worth its price, i would like to purchase some other book instead of this book.

Like an all stops train journey that gives the passengers the opportunity to look around and absorb their surroundings, these books offer the same. As the journey begins in recorded history & legends, it moves through the centuries giving enough highlights to get our attention. Those seeking further depth to the stories can easily use any of the ‘station stops’ or chapters, to go back and learn more from other sources. The included bibliography shows the way. Told in what is almost a conversational tone, it is reminiscent of being shown the sights by an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide. With no pretensions to be a comprehensive record, it will whet the appetite to read more Captivating History books and continue a virtual journey through the past.

Although a little too expansion the beginning, this is excellent reading which cover the entire time frame of France. Well written…….
