Biogenesis - Methyl Factors 2 Oz

My brother found out he has the MTHFR gene variant and recommended I try this and see if it makes a difference for me (I'm not sure if I have the gene variant or not). While it hasn't changed my life as it has his (he swears by it and now takes it religiously), I do like taking it because it wakes me up quite a bit. I think if I had the gene variant I would react more strongly to it, so I assume I don't have the MTHFR variant. I'm not a daily coffee drinker, and taking this feels like you had a cup of coffee (minus the coffee-scented pee and GI side effects - TMI sorry). This product is definitely nice to have when you need to perk up a bit in the afternoon or you need some extra energy before going out for the night - like if your friends are making you go out and you're just not in the mood or too tired, this will help you rally. It doesn't taste bad, it has a little sugar in it. Overall I really like this product and I will buy it again, even though I don't really *need* it.

I have used this with my kids for years. It is amazing and I can clearly tell when they don't have it. It helps with mental outlook and focus. I'm rating it five stars. However, after getting many, many shipments of this, a bottle arrived today that was not wrapped in bubble wrap, so it broke and leaked all over the items in the package. This liquid is blood red and made a HUGE mess -- it had to be delivered in a sealed plastic bag on top of the regular Amazon packaging. Amazon was quick to refund but I have never had it shipped like this before, and I'd like to leave some sort of feedback about the issue. I don't want to reflect on the product though, which is awesome. Just -- maybe order it by itself so it doesn't ruin everything in the package if they don't pack it in bubble wrap?!

I have used this product for a year now. It's not something that's going to make you wake up one morning and go WOW! It eases into your system over time and you just start feeling better without really noticing it ... until you realize you're not feeling slow, down, nauseous, etc. I took it to also support fatigued adrenal glands. My doctor thought I'd need to take the supporting hormones for my adrenal glands longer but he ran my lab tests after just 2 months and I was back to normal production again. You only use one dropper full every morning so it lasts a long time. I used to get it directly from BioGenesis but that's a pain in the neck and you have to pay for shipping. I think it costs a bit more from them too. I'm super jazzed I can get it by hitting some computer keys through Amazon now. I very much recommend this supplement. By the way, in case you didn't know the why behind this product, here's a bit of science. In order to make processed foods have a longer shelf life (started to support soldiers in WWII), they remove some molecular tags on food molecules. With those missing tags, your cells don't absorb the nutrients nor process them correctly. After years of this, the DNA can mutate and they estimate about 80% of Americans have this mutation because it's so very hard to completely avoid processed foods. If it has a shelf life, it's probably been processed. This methylated B opens up the cells and teaches them to start recognizing the right molecules and letting them in again.

I dont want to be dramatic or anything, but this pretty much saved me in many ways. I have that wonderful MTHFR gene. I like to call it the Mother Effer Gene, because it really does suck. Anyway, basically I just always felt flat; tired, depressed, foggy... it had just gotten so bad that I finally saw one of those 'mystical' doctors because I was just falling apart, liver pain and all sorts. My 'mystical' doctor, who I see regularly now, and have replaced my not so mystical money hungry doctor with, found that I not only had MTHFR but also major mercury poisoning, apparently my MTHFR kills my glutathione and doesn't let me detox metals properly; like I said before, mother effer gene. So doc put me on this, ultraclear and glutathione. The day I started this little puppy, I felt amazing, I was so busy, I was running around seeing all my friends, I was performing much better in my work, and I felt really positive, like a positive wave had hit me. I've been on it for about 2 months now and the effect hasn't worn off. My friends and family all noticed the difference and especially my significant other. I've got my mum and dad taking it now, and same thing, they both have found really positive effects. If you suffer from homozygous-MTHFR, look into it, luckily I'm young enough to have figured this out now and not later.

Good flavor. Helpful to increase needed b vitamins. Have done lab testing to determine absorption. This product is lab verifiably absorbable.
