Q: What is the break strength of this cord (in lbs)?

I checked the Nite Ize website, and they don't give the break strength, at least not that I can find. A good guess is 180 lbs, as this is a frequently cited break strength for this weight of reflective paracord. I've used it extensively, and probably wouldn't trust it even to 180. Hope that helps; sorry I don't know more. Lawson Glowwire (2mm) has a break stength of 225. You might check that out.

Q: How reflective is the cord?

I agree with Douglas A.. The cord is highly reflective (the best!) when viewed at night with a forehead mounted light. But the light source must be near the eyes or the reflectivity diminishes significantly (such as waist held flashlight). There is 'no' visibility benefit for general area lighting, like a for tent guy lines lit by a campfire or moon light. I am removing them from my tent because of this AND because it is so well camouflaged in daylight. I'm going with this fluorescent lime green line that's great in daylight, good with a flashlight and marginally reflective with head light.
