There are a lot of different versions of these floating around on Amazon. As far as I can tell, they are all ordered in bulk from China (Aliexpress is flooded with them). As far as movement and case design, they seem to all be identical. And the movement is quite good. It keeps time, and stays wound for about 40 hours.I have noticed from reading many MANY reviews, that some people complain about the glass falling off, and these reviews seem to all come from versions that have a different face dial in there. I suspect that the "generic" ones are ordered in bulk, and then someone is opening them up to replace the generic face with one that has their brand on there. And when they put it back together, it isn't as tight as it used to be. So, I would suggest sticking to ones that don't have any branding on the dial, because they are probably less likely to come apart. That's the only advice I can give, because otherwise, these things seem to be identical in every respect.I have ordered two from two different suppliers, and the only difference is a different little fob on the bottom.The watch itself is beautiful, and just great to stare at. If you enjoy this sort of thing, then buy this. It's worth the money. I don't see many people actually using this as a necklace because it's a little big for that. Picture just a little smaller than a Ping Pong ball, and a little bigger than the big kind of marble. I love the quiet ticking sound you get, (which seems fast and frantic if you're used to a quartz watch's ticking)This thing is so neat that I bought it for my girlfriend as a Christmas present, but had to give it to her early just to see her reaction. Then I bought myself one because I was jealous of her gift. So.. that happened.Knowing when to stop winding is easy because you can watch the spring compress. When there's no space between the spring coils and it starts getting harder to wind, you're done. And you have some margin for error here because it'll last a full 24 hours on about three fourths of a winding.

Bought as a present for my daughter. I found it to be beautiful and reasonably priced. When you hold it, you won't believe you got it for such a great price.Love the way it looks very old and love to see the movement.

it looks just like this, the chain is crappy, but for the price I will toss that and it will make a cute gift.Its a little larger then expected but really cute.

It may be nice nut fulfilled & comes from China. Prepare to wait at least a month.

I just got this today, much earlier then expected! This watch is a good size and has a nice bit of weight to it. Which to me makes it less flimsy, as I feared it might be. The time markings are a bit small, I wouldn't be able to read it without my glasses, but it does have a secondhand and ticks quietly. The chain is to long for me so I will be changing that but I think it's a great watch for the price.

This was a superior quality product considering the very small price tag. Very fun to watch the clockwork through the back glass casing. I would recommend this to somebody who likes vintage/victorian/steampunk styled objects.

Got this as a gift for my daughter for Christmas. I think it was her favorite gift. It's a wind-up. She loves looking at the gears move.
