TERRIBLE printer! Cheaply made and CONSTANTLY goes offline! Also FELL APART!
I bought this printer to replace a Samsung laser printer I had for years. I thought at the time my printer had a short as when I would go to print the circuit would blow. Ended up the printer was just fine, the issue was too many things on the same circuit.Meanwhile I'd ordered this printer. Here's all the issues I had. Note, I am VERY tech savvy.1) I had to contact tech support just to connect it to my network. It would just keep hanging and not continuing with setup.2) I had to contact tech support AGAIN the next day because it would not come online no matter what I tried. Tech support then told me the last person I'd been on the phone with nearly an HOUR with did something wrong.3) It CONSTANTLY goes offline. It doesn't matter if I printed two minutes ago. The only way to get it back online is to turn it off and on.4) Turning it off is oddly hard to do! You press the power button and nothing happens! Then you press it again and nothing happens. On the third time it finally turns off.5) This was what made me decide to send this piece of junk bank. The ink said it was running low so I opened the door to replace it. This roller piece that guides the paper FELL RIGHT OFF! Just dropped down inside the printer! With NO real manual for this printer and NOTHING online I could not figure out how to get it back in place. I went to contact support but it was the weekend so they were CLOSED. The ONLY way to contact someone would be to PAY for support - SERIOUSLY??? I was trying to get some work done this weekend and ended up having to hook my old printer back up.This printer is clearly VERY cheaply made and support is sketchy. I will never buy another HP printer now that I've seen how bad they are. I also don't like that unlike my Samsung printer with an internal paper tray this one is open. So dust, pet hair can so easily get inside the printer. The most satisfying thing about this printer was packing it up to drop it off at UPS!

No Customer Support
I loved this printer when I first bought it. But, in trying to register it kept saying they could not register it to me becauseIt was already registered. Weird, but ok. I could still use it. I added new toner, HP and it printed a Lilly’s but has now stopped and say there is something wrong and it will not print until I get this fixed. It does nothing tell me what is wrong nor a number to call. I access the HP app and it just asks for the serial # and product #. When I put these in it says it’s wrong. I cannot get ahold of support through email, phone (waited 45 mins) the first time and it got stuck in a loop of that’s the wrong serial, provide a serial number. Drove me crazy. Meanwhile almost a month is passed and. I can not use my printer. Worst support I have ever encountered for any product.

Read my review and save time on setup
As far as function, I am satisfied, but set up is a b****. I was able to sync the printer to my phone and computer, but I could not print from either. Bottom line is this... the printer shows that it is online. Both my phone and desktop was in sync with the printer, but I couldn't print. Here is the reason. You have to go through a lengthy online process to make sure you are signed up for their Instant Ink feature, or your printer will not work. No like.

DOES NOT CONNECT TO WIFI DONT WASTE YOUR TIME
Terrible worthless junk from HP again. I am convinced that if hell exists its just a giant room full of HP printers and poor lost souls forced to try to print a shipping label before a deadline.Pros:- Looks like a printer: If you want to look like an adult who has their things together and a nice professional home office this will certainly make it LOOK like you own a printer- LED light on the front: This printer has a pleasant LED light on the front to indicate the printers status, it mostly just stays a cool white color which I assume means its refusing all of your printing queueCons:- Day one: My printer took about 30 minutes to set up, then I had to download "HP Smart" on my phone and computer to ensure ease of use, once that was done everything proceeded to not work, after turning the machine on and off about 3 dozen times it finally spit out everything I sent it.- Printer shows online and ready to print on "HP Smart" on my PC and Mobile. Printer shows Wi-Fi light and stupid cool while LED on the front. DOES NOT PRINT ANYTHING.- In the first 24 hours of ownership I have now spent 2+ hours of my time just trying to print labels with almost no success. I make around $80-90/hr in my profession. This printer has now cost more in my labor than the printer itself cost with nothing to show for it!

Almost Impossible to Connect to WiFi
After frustration with and failures of multi-function inkjet printers, I sacrificed scanning and color printing for this very reliable black-and-white printer. Oddities include embossed control buttons that are very difficult to read and a bright light in the front of the device that is always on. (The printer does not automatically turn off.) The downside is the extreme difficulty in the absence of a touch screen, in re-connecting to Wi-Fi after any number of unexplainable disconnections (e. g., empty toner cartridge, confusion caused by extender, new router). Written instructions are poor, the HP Smart app is poorly designed, and telephone support is agonizingly slow and awkward. If you don't need tech support, this printer is a great, inexpensive choice. But if you need support, caveat emptor.
