Great bidet seat! So easy to use and install!
I’ve always loved going to some high end hotels and finding an electric bidet toilet. It makes cleaning up so much more thorough. I didn’t think I could have one since I didn’t have an electric outlet near any of my toilets. I had heard a commercial about attachments to existing toilet seats. When I researched them, they looked clunky and just ugly since they are mostly visible. When I found the whole bidet toilet seat i was amazed. I did some research and settled on the Kohler puretide it looked great and sounded like it fit my needs. My only concern was that it didn’t heat the water but that was a small concern since I live in Hawaii - warm year round. Installation took about 20 minutes for each bathroom and that included removing the existing regular toilet seats. The connections were very easy to do and it looks great in the bathroom. The only thing that looks out of the ordinary is the handle and that’s fine - it’s easy to reach and maneuver when you’re using it. Some people have complained about the size of the seat opening being smaller than a normal seat - but that is to be expected. You’re working with a standard sized toilet boil and you have to find a way to fit in the bidet functionality. That takes up space and there’s no way around that - you have to fit in the bidet’s functions somewhere and there’s no way around that. Also note I am a man and have no problem using it and feeling cramped and uncomfortable down there. My only concern is that when I have people over to my place and they use the guest bath, I have to explain to them to not turn it on unless they’re seated - unless they want to get sprayed with water and have water all over the floor. I’m incredibly happy and wish i had known about this seat years ago! It works like a charm. The spray is very strong and I can direct it as needed. My concern about not having heated water was a non-issue since my cold water isn’t ice cold. It also looks clean and sleek in the bathroom. (Note - I used the softness score to indicate “fit and comfort”. I gave it 4 stars since it feels different than my previous seat (naturally) and takes a bit of getting used to.)

So far so good
The KOHLER 5724-96 PureWash M250 has some good design features a couple that are highly questionable. The total install took about 30 minutes. I like the way the seat attaches to the toilet and how the seat can be easily removed for cleaning with a push of the button on the side opposite the water inlet. As others have reported there are just not enough threads in the included hose coupling nut to properly engage with the Bidet's water inlet port with the added thickness of the screen installed. So I chose to remove the inlet screen in order to get an additional 1-1/2 threads of engagement. If that causes problems in the future I will deal with it. I also like that the controls are easier to reach than some other designs. This control design, however; does present a huge potential of damage in the future and this is probably the reason others have reported leaks at the control handle. With the handle hanging out so far I can see how easily it will be to damage it and cause leaks if anyones puts any sort of downward, upward or sideways pressure on the control handle. It should only have rotational pressure applied to it. It should never be used as a hand hold or as an aid for getting off the toilet. It's just not robust enough for that and that amount of pressure and will surely crack the plastic where the handle rotates, potentially causing leaks. All in all I am very happy with this Bidet and am confident with the proper usage it will stand the test of time.

First time Bidet Users, Read This!!
If you are thinking of buying a bidet for the first time and you are wondering if its worth it, or if its better that whatever your doing now.... The answer is YES, you should buy a bidet. I am saying that as a very new first time owner myself having used this product for about two months. Being my first and only bidet, Its hard to compare this against other bidets. But I will say that my overall experience, the cost, ease of install and how well it works should earn this seat a solid 4 stars. Definitely a good purchase and I'm very happy with the results. I will by more the the rest of my bathrooms. Install: All the parts that come with the bidet are good quality, and the plumbing fasteners are all metal. If you have ever set a toilet or have done any work on a toilet before, then this will be super easy! If you have never worked on a toilet, don't worry, its still pretty easy and you find there are plenty of online videos to walk you through it. Keep in mind not all toilets are installed the same and I suppose there is a chance you might need to hit up a hardware store to get a part. But this was not the case for me. Once installed, It blew my mind how good it looked. At least on my toilet it looks perfect. Seriously it looks like it came with the toilet. Just be careful to get the correct "Round or Elongated" option and color. How does it work?.... I'm never going back!!! I got so sick and tired of wiping and wiping and wiping for mediocre results or just to have an itchy bum later in the day. Goodbye to that forever! I will always have a bidet for the rest of my life. My bum is so happy and healthy!! Q&A: -Does it get you completely clean? Yes it does, but you have to do it right. I learned that you need to move around. Make sure the beam of water hits all the right spots. I also give the back door a few good flexes open and closed while the beam of water is right there. "I'm sorry, that's the nicest way I could word that" -Did you stop using toilet paper? No. I still use TP to dry off and to make sure the bidet got everything completely clean. I do however us soooo much less TP that before. -Is a warm water bidet worth it? No. Cold water is great, not a shock at all. Even if you get a hot water bidet you will still get the initial cold water burst. If you get one that keeps water warm at the seat, then you are wasting money and energy 24 hours a day for about 10 seconds of warm water. Besides that area is always so hot, it could use a cool down from time to time. Here is some helpful T.M.I. I have to say that my first time, I was kind of expecting the stream to shoot across/over the top of my back door at an angle. NOPE, it fires a brisk straight shot into the keyhole!! But after a few uses you will realize that this is better and it was designed that way. just a friendly warning for first timers. This is a great purchase, make your bum happy.

Great product and high quality. Only problem was that the t-adapter supplied in the box does not fit South African pipe fittings. I had to go to a plumbing supplies shop to buy an adapter before I could install it. Overall well worth the money.

Water supply T joint is not suitable for Australian standards and won’t fit , and it is size between 15mm and 20mm so forget about finding suitable adapter

I was looking add-on bidets but this one being integrated into the seat design made a lot more sense to me. I like that it comes with 3 different nozzles and the arm allows for adjustment of the spray angle while seated. The adapter is chrome plated metal not plastic. The soft close is nice too. I have this installed on a Toto elongated toilet. The fit isn't perfect but it is close enough and looks good in the closed position. The design is clean with nice styling.
