Easy to use
I had to use the trimmers sooner than expected. We brought home a live Christmas tree over the weekend and after setting up the frasier fir, quickly realized it was bigger than the space provided. The top had two stalks and some of the branches jutted out beyond the others. So I decided it was a good time to use the new snippers. The tree top branch was thicker than I thought, but the snippers cut through it like warm butter. And the padded handles made it even easier. The lateral branches also snipped like a breeze. I would recommend this product to anyone. Super easy to use and the locking latch was also easier to flip than my old other brand of trimmers.

Pruners Immediately Exploded Apart
I received these pruners today, 1/28/24, and within a few minutes of using them the pieces of it came flying apart.I should have know something was wrong with these when I noticed that there was an area where the paint had chipped off, revealing powdery metal that was pitted. I thought maybe it was just a cosmetic defect and shrugged it off.As soon as I started using them on thin branches I noticed that they had a very difficult time getting through the wood. Mind you this is soft green wood no thicker than 7/16" in diameter. When the blade would finally make the cut after some effort, the pruner handles changed together causing them to kind of reverberate. In other words they felt almost hollow or something, and definitely cheap. The information on the box claims that these can handle wood up to 1.2" in diameter but that's a blatant lie. I have a very strong grip and these things were barely cutting.Anyway, a few minutes in the pruners come flying apart in my hand. The threaded, sort of conical nut that they use flew off and since I was in the process of cutting somehow destroyed the threads of the pivot carriage bolt. I looked everywhere for the nut and when I finally found it I was unable to thread it back on.I looked on the package to see where these are made and sure enough....China. Mueller sure does like to put "Austria" all over its products. Maybe that's purposely meant to mislead/distract that it's just another Chinese product.DO NOT purchase these. I've been a gardener for a long time and I've owned a number of pruners. These are the worst I've ever had the misfortune of owning. I have a coffee grinder made by mueller and I absolutely love it. I thought that maybe these would be good quality too but I was wrong. Buy Corona or even Fiskars. These things are trash.

Nice pair of shears!
Was apprehensive about the purchase because of some reviews but there was a great deal on it and it's not terrible if I'm out 10 bucks. I specifically wanted these because of the supposed size you can cut up to though I probably won't need them much for over 1/2".These feel nice and sturdy with some weight to it. I like the color and the soft grip handles a lot. They feel easy enough to handle and I have smaller hands so that's a plus. All the pieces seem to be nice and snug and nothing is loose. The locking mechinism seems to work perfect.Haven't used them for anything heavy duty but it's nice and sharp so I don't see having a problem if i used them properly but I won't know til I put them to the test. As far as first impressions go, I'm impressed.

Nice and sharp, cuts larger branches well
Got these to replace old pair. These are sharp, appear quite durable, and cut moderately larger branches on overgrown bushes or small trees fairly easily.
