Best I have ever owned.
So far this is the best dog leash I have ever owned or used, it is a bit heavy but I love the extra length and what seems to be heavy duty construction. My dog is strong will and very strong, but this one gives me the control I needed.

I was not a fan of this style of locking.
This was a nice leash, but fell a little short on function for me. We only wound up using it for 2 months because we had no idea how much of a chewer our puppy would be! But this is not advertised as chew proof so I am NOT holding that against the manufacturer! The problem I had with the leash was the locking feature along with some issues with twisted retractions of the tape. For the lock....When you push the lock button it is locked for good! Even if you try to unlock it, you wont be able to do it unless the line is slack...very slack. Any tension and you're stuck locked. So here I am "pumping" my arm towards the dog, while timing the button to get it unlocked, only to have the dog think he's back on a long line and tries to run up ahead, only to get yanked back from my pumping. It was not a pleasant use experience for either of us (or my daughter who walks him as well). All 3 of us HATED this lock design. For the tape...The tension was acceptable. No sagging or dragging, and it kept up with the dog's movements. BUT, on multiple occasions it would not reel all the way back in. Every time it happened it was because there was a twist in the line and I would have to pull it out past the twist to let if fix itself. It likely happened as the dog moved to the side, behind and around us since when he's on a long line like this he takes full advantage of the distance. I ultimately went with a FLEXI to replace it and that lock works the way I expect it to! I still needed to buy a chew proof cable for it, but it's a much better leash.

Good leash
I bought this for my 125lb Akita, and I wasn't sure how it would hold up, but so far, it's doing just fine. One thing I'm not very fond of is that when you stop the lead, it automatically stays locked. I'm used to being able to stop the lead and release it, with a separate lock lever

Excellent item for the price. Buy and try it out.
This leash is absolutely incredible especially for the price, and it comes with extra items. The poop bag container broke immediately but the folding dog bowl is sturdy. Let's put it this way, I have a 70 lb pocket pitbull that pulls while walked horribly. I also use it as a lead for her to roam in the yard. Ive owned this item since the beginning of december and use it everyday multiple times a day, it is still holding up and works like new. Every product here and there while in production will eventually have some kinda defect. This is a good product. Yet the bad reviewers on here unfortunately had purchased one of the faulty leashes. But this product is excellent for the price. I've owned a leash that costed me 50 and this product is in comparison.

Great leash simple, strong and easy to use
I have had this leash for over a year. It is very strong and durable. I've seen people say that it doesn't have a pause, on but it does if you push and hold the button it acts like a pause button when you release the button it unlocks properly. I do agree with the comments when you lock the leash there has to be slack in the line to unlock it (does not pertain to the pause feature) it took me all of one minute to figure this leash out. If I don't let all of my attention in my dog when she wants to go she will try to chew the lead and I have to say it is definitely chew resistant. She had yet to make any kind of mark on it from chewing it. She loves to run and often runs to the end of the lead and almost pulls my arm off trying to chase squirrels so it is durable. I have had one problem one time the lead twisted near the end of it and wouldn't retract ask the way, I thought well that's the end of that one but I pulled the lead all the way out and it retracted just fine. That has only happened once in the year and a half I've had it. I don't see this leash letting me down any time soon. It had outlasted every other retractable leash I've ever had. I give it five stars for getting your money's worth, seeing how this leash cost way less than the rest and is far more durable as well.

Pay the extra and buy on brand with a Flexi
The button gets stuck down. I have a Flexi brand one that I have had for 15 years I don’t think this brand will hold up the same at all. This one feels cheap and not strong enough for my bigger dogs that don’t really pull. I’ll still use it on small clients.

Quick retraction speed and strong enough for our 60 lb strong dog
This is a replacement for a previous leash and works great for our 60 lb very energetic and strong dog. ✔So far, I am very happy with the length, the strength, quick responsive retraction speed, and the ease of use. I really like that it also came with a little clip on collapsable water bowl for the summer/hiking and a little pod for waste bags (BONUS) -- I have a larger pack to carry, but sometimes I just need something small like this capsule for quick jaunts. ✔Quick retraction of leash and it stays retracted enough so that it doesn't ever sag and doesn't get caught under his legs or chest. ✔Ribbon of leash appears to be reflective -- but regardless is easy to see (which is great as our dog is usually out at its 26' limit ✔The locking mechanism is strong and easy to use (no tiny button to push). The only thing I wish was that it didn't automatically lock when you press down on it (you then have to actively unlock it). Sometimes I just need a temporary hold on a shorter leash so I wish that it would unlock when you lift your thumb and would only stay locked if you pushed the secondary button. Oh well, it is a minor detail. Thumbs up! We just need to see how long it lasts now as our pup is hard on leash mechanisms.

I am impressed with each of the rate features (lock, ease of handhold, durability), and the leash has definitely transformed my dog's walking experiences at places like the beach, where leashes are mandatory most months of the year (see video). However, after the events of today's walk I would like to propose a modification to the leash handle/housing. During our walk today - a hot, humid day - I turned to cross a main road, easily 5 metres away, and locked the leash at about 1.5 metres. My property was across the road. My dog, Dish (an Australian kelpie pup), changed direction but lunged slightly as she did it. My hand was sweaty, and the handle/leash housing popped straight out of my hand, hitting the ground and then bouncing straight into the dog's rear end, startling her and causing her to jump forward, causing the leash housing to bounce into her again. She was spooked by this and bolted straight across the road, not looking to see what was happening behind her, as the leash housing continued to bounce back into her. By the time she was across the road she was frantic, moving at speed and not stopping for anything, racing past my house and down the street. Luckily, she circled around a garden after about 75 metres, which allowed me to catch her. The leash, by this stage, had wrapped around one of her rear legs several times. My concern is that the road she crossed often has fast moving traffic travelling on it, and we had only just crossed a major highway a couple of minutes before. The leash housing popping out of my grip was quite a natural occurrence, given the texture of the grip and the sweat on my palm. I think the problem could be alleviated if there were some way to secure the leash housing to one's wrist by way of a strap of some kind. I'm sure some users won't be attracted to such an idea, but I intend to fabricate a solution to that end before I use the leash again. Nonetheless, I otherwise remain very happy with this product and I'm happy to have made this purchase. An hour after today's incident, Dish appears to be a little wary of the leash, but I'm confident she'll come around.

Make walking my ≈60lbs dog way easier, she can go all around without pulling me with her, love this leash! I Haven't test the strength of it yet (like when she see a cat😆) but seems well made!

Leash snapped after several weeks

When I first unpacked this leash, I was optimistic. It felt well-made and sturdy. After two months of use, I wouldn't recommend this leash to anyone. There are two reasons for this. First, the locking mechanism is just ... weird. I used to use a Flexi lead, and it just makes sense. Want the dog to stop? Push the button. Want the leash to stay there? Lock it. This leash works backwards. If you push the button, the leash locks RIGHT AWAY. You can't just 'pause' your dog. You have to then take the extra step of unlocking the leash for it to either retract or let out more. I kept telling myself that it was just different, that I'd get used to it. After two months, NOPE. It just doesn't work the way it should. The second problem is worse. After only two months of use, the spring is giving out. Without any weight at the end of the leash, it slows down when there's about 3 feet of leash hanging out. From that point, I have to pretty much push the leash into the handle to get it to retract further. I strongly recommend looking at a different leash.
