Great Read
As someone diagnosed with autism in their late 30's I always appreciate books by this author. Well written and accurate, without a lot of fluff. This is a great book if you are trying to understand yourself or trying to improve the manner in which you interact with those on the spectrum.

one of the Best Books on the topic
If you are burned out on books to help you as a parent, and only want to read one book — read this one. Positive, hopeful with excellent information. I appreciated the emphasis on acceptance and “seeing” the reality of our beautiful, smart, funny, unique children. Good information that helps reframing life’s journey.

THE must read for Autism!
My son was diagnosed ASD and ADHD before his 6th birthday. I admit, I was scared to death, but only because I, like most people, had no real idea what Autism actually was. It's like saying you understand global warming without a scientific degree. This book is THE must read (or audiobook listen in my case) for anyone who is in the circle of an Autisitc person. I'm no longer scared and I'm proud of how genuine my son is. I will always be his number one advocate. This will make me a better parent and him a happier, more successful individual.
