What a triumph!
I’ve just devoured this in one sitting! What an incredible imagination Ollie Locke has - not just a pretty face! I bought it for my nine-year old daughter, but being a fan of Made in Chelsea I read it myself first and was blown away. Everyone should read it, it’s magical - Congrarulations Ollie

A gem of a read
This is over a long time my new favourite fantasy fairytale. I want to read until the end and then read it again. The characters are very cute and imaginatively created (apart from the baddies of course) and I feel a lot of love has gone into this book. The imagery is fantastic, I find myself reading some paragraphs twice to savour the imagery. Parents should read this to their children. The mum or dad reading it aloud - would enjoy it as well, and I bet the kids would demand endless re-reads. Although dark things happen in the story - as in every proper fairytale - there is an overall sense of warmth and a lovely sense of hope that it will all work out in the end, like in every good fairytale. I am also really enjoying the location descriptions - of both real and imaginary places. With a few words the author is painting amazing pictures! I am reading this marvellous book and seeing things happening in fabulous technicolour. This should be made into a movie! The whole family would love watching it. I could go on . . . so glad I clicked 'buy' on my kindle app. Already looking forward to my second reading. I hope there will be sequels and more books in the works by the author! Enjoyable times ahead at cafes with my kindle!

A bit disappointed
I was quite excited to read this story after hearing such good reviews and whilst the story is good i was quite disappointed. The story moved to quick from one thing to the next, the description of each event wasn't as detailed as I expected. The ending was very sudden and could been made into so much more. I'll read the books that follow this to find out more of what happened.

Disappointing
Book has some interesting notion but is very short. Less than 150 pages. Most of the prose could have been longer wiyh more detail. Reads like an unfinished book. Lacking both detail and finesse. I would have spent another year adding detail and exploring themes and concepts in greater depth.

Really sweet.
Such a lovely book for children or as a comfort read for adults. Really clear storyline and not super long so overall is just a really sweet book.
