Great book no slip cover not cool

While I enjoyed this art book and i love looking at the concept art for the MCU, it’s very easy to list the negatives coming with this art book. Once again, it doesn’t come with a slipcover, which it looks like is the new normal. Like with the other MCU TV show art books, the book is divided up into episodes, explaining the plot and introducing art along the way. It also has many spreads where it’s just a still from the show. However, in addition to not being concept art, most of the spreads are too dark or hard to tell what’s going on. It feels rushed and half baked, just like the show.

The book not having a slipcase is very irritating and I don’t see why they don’t have slipcases. The book seems thinner than the others, despite having almost 3x the amount of storytelling as it’s a 6-hour show, not a 2-hour movie. It just feels light and I don’t like it, specially because it was the same price as the other, much heavier art books.The book doesn’t focus much on the concept art, and I think there’s more stills from the show than new concept art being shown, which is very disappointing because the concept art is what sells the book! It’s great! But I’ve seen the show, so I don’t need to see stills. One or two every chapter is nice, but some chapters are just a still from the show, and that’s it. Like the one with Isaiah Bradley. Loved him in the show, but the chapter on him was a still and that’s it! Even some concept art of him in the past or whatever you had would’ve sufficed. And I wouldn’t be mad if the stills were top notch, but they’re not. Some are too dark to see and that makes it feel like there was a spot wasted on a poor photo.Again the concept art is what I bought it for, but had I known that a little less than half the book was concept art, I would’ve waited till someone posted the art online, and not bought a book that is a rehash of the show with some art interspersed throughout. I’ll wait and see if the Black Widow art book is any good, but I expected more, especially because the quality was so great before with these books

It seems like the MCU Disney+ artbooks are not coming with the slipcases that prior artbooks came with, which is a shame.In addition to that, this felt more like a “making of” book than an “art of”. There are a handful of concept art (the primary reason most people purchase artbooks) mixed in with a ton of set photos and stills from the show.I loved this series and was really looking forward to diving into the artwork behind it, but between the presentation and content included in the book lacking in both quality (lack of slipcase) and quantity (number of concept artwork inside), I’m left feeling really disappointed.Fingers crossed the upcoming Phase 4 movie artbooks at least come with the slipcase still.

Apparently not only are the Marvel Disney+ books not coming in slip cases, the entire cover just completely ripped off the spine of the book when I removed it from the cellophane. Unbelievable. DO NOT BUY.

These books are soooo cheap compared to what they once were. Sad for all art book collectors, especially with the base price being as high as it is.

I have been collecting these and so I don't open them. The one thing that I am disappointed with is the fact that they removed the slip cover from the books. So the new ones are a different size than the majority of the collection.

Voici un superbe livre rédigé en anglais de 224 pages, à couverture rigide, les pages sont imprimées sur du papier glacier, à l’horizontale, ce qui est un peu différent de ce qui se fait habituellement, mais ce n’est pas gênant.Il débute par une présentation du design des costumes établis pour les principaux personnages, leurs armes, mais aussi leurs accessoires, que ce soit du côté des héros, mais également les détails concernant les adversaires qu’ils ont à affronter tout au long de la série.Toutes les photos sont magnifiques et sont pour la plupart inédites, elles permettent d’en savoir plus sur le tournage et les décors qui ont permis de produire l’une des dernières créations des Studios Marvel sur petit écran.On retrouve également les concept arts créés par Ryan MEINERDING ou encore ceux d’Andy PARK, tout simplement sublimes, ainsi que des storyboards et des croquis se rapportant aux personnages ou aux rendus d’une scène.En bref, un bouquin tout simplement essentiel pour celui/celle qui s’intéresse à l’univers créé par Marvel.

Es gibt keinen Pappschuber zum Buch; aber es ist trotzdem eine gebundene Ausgabe. Und ja es sind wesentlich mehr Fotos als Kunstzeichnungen abgebildet. Aber ich mag es trotzdem.

Finde das Buch wirklich toll. Ich hatte nicht genau auf die Beschreibung geachtet und war beim erhalten des Buches etwas irritiert, da die Maße nicht mit den anderen Büchern übereinstimmt die ich schon besitze. Ebenso gibt es keinen Schuber zum Buch was ich ebenfalls schade finde. Aber ansonsten bietet es viele Informationen und Artwork zur Serie.

Excelente libro. Muy completo. La razón por la que puse 4 estrellas en vez de 5 fue porque tiene muchas fotos de escenas, algo que hasta ahora no se veía en los libros de arte de Marvel Studios. Aún así, la gran mayoría es arte muy bueno y se pueden comparar con las fotos del vestuario.

Un libro de arte a la altura de los que han sacado sobre las películas UCM. Totalmente disfrutable y recomendable.
