Holds up well!
I’m using this on a Covered Patio to make the tv easy to “pull and push up and down” to make it easier to put the tv cover on and off. Works well! Installed one before on stucco/brick with no issues and on this home it’s wood/vinyl siding with no issues

Easy to fit and adjust, handles large TV's well
Ordered to allow for 40" LG TV to be wall mounted between my desk and my couch in my home office. The gas powered swivel is effective (with easy adjustment) to balance the TV weight and it allows be to pivot the TV for use on either side of the room, but even better I can have it 'flat' against the wall when not needed minimizing space used. Excellent product would recommend.

Great, depending upon your VESA size and hole locations.
Bottom Line:- works great, but not ideal with some TVs’ VESA mount locationsPros:- SOLID! Built very sturdy.- various adjustable options makes it work great overall! The pivot tension can be adjusted. The spring tension for up and down motion can be adjusted as well, depending upon the weight of the TV.- looks good; i like the silver (light-grey?) much better than the black of other TV mounts we have in the house. I think i would have preferred white actually, as it might have blended into the wall/background better?- easy to attach to TV and install overall.- easy to follow instructions, not that they were needed honestly.Cons:- the ‘X’ pattern of the VESA mounting bracket is a flawed design. It assumes that the VESA mounting holes on the TV are centered on the TV. If the mounting holes are shifted up or down on the TV, the ‘X’ mounting bracket can potentially stick out from the bottom or top of the TV. It looks horrible when this happens. I removed one star for this reason. See comments below for more info.Other Comments:- so the ‘X’ mounting bracket sticks out from the bottom of our TV about 2 or 3 inches. Definitely doesn’t look good. I thought about cutting the metal brackets (and still might one day if it bothers me enough) but i decided to just leave it for now. It is currently holding up a 43” Fire TV from Amazon; the VESA mounting holes are NOT in the center, but shifted down; the two bottom VESA holes are only about 2 or 3 inches from the bottom of the TV. The TV has 300x300 VESA mounting holes, so i was forced to use the ‘X’ pattern of the mounting bracket. If the mounting holes were 400x200, the mounting bracket would have been attached differently and could have avoided sticking out; but i obviously didn’t have this option, since i can’t control where the VESA mounting holes are located, etc.- Recommendation to the engineers/designers: instead of having an ‘X’ pattern mounting bracket, make it a square or an ‘H’. If an ‘H’, with proper mounting hole options, it could then be slid up or down, to avoid sticking out from the back of the TV. We have 4 TVs in our house; 3 with wall mounts; this is the only one that sticks out from the bottom of the TV. The other 2 mounts have more of an ‘H’ formed mounting bracket.

Good but not actually centered
The arm is stable and moves smoothly. I asked the question about of the monitor is centered when pushed back flat. Despite answers that it was, it's is not. I have pushed the monitor flat against the wall and the center of the monitor is definitely 2 inches offset from the mounts base. The stud in my wall is centered with my desk, so unfortunately with this mount, I cannot get my monitor centered unless I pull it almost to the front edge of my desk.

Great value counterbalance arm
This is a great value compared to other adjustable arms, which generally cost about twice as much. It comes almost fully assembled, and the fins on the VESA plate only attach if you need to use them for a larger VESA pattern. It's mostly metal construction, except the plastic shell that covers the arm.It is a little hard to adjust if you're trying to move the arm before you mount it, so if it doesn't budge, it's normal. Once it's mounted it should move more easily with the weight of the display attached. Adjustment of the tension is simple with the included hex key. When the tension is correct, adjustments are easy, and it has a great vertical range. Mounting to the wall is also simple enough. One item that I don't see mentioned in the specs is the min/max weight, which is 5.5 to 44lbs. It should also be listed for displays from 26" to 47", as shown on the box and in the manual.

Allows for full motion, vertical as well as horizontal
I needed a mount which allows for vertical movement and this works great. To make the mounting easier, I suggest that you buy other screws with a hex top with the specs set out in another review, drill the holes, then use the hex top screws to create a good fit, then take them out and use the screws provided which have a Phillips head. If you just use the Phillips head screws provided initially, you may strip them during the install and you not be able to get them all the way in (or out if that ever becomes necessary). However, you need to use the Phillips head for the final install to be able to cover them with the nice covers provided which give a polished look.

great mount but small defect
Great mount for the price. Very versatile, well designed, holds and looks great. Used it to install a 48" Samsung TV (28lb). Comes with a lot of fittings and bolts to adjust to your TV's shape. Tension adjustment is simple using enclosed Allen wrench. Unfortunately, one of the VESA arm extender screws came damaged - the photo is attached. Such a small item that could make the whole mount useless. That's why giving three stars. I need a replacement screw.
