Great set!
For Chinese New Year I decided to set up a Chinese restaurant in our Dramatic Play area. I needed to add to our Chinese food toys and these were great! The variety is awesome and I like that there are even steam baskets to go with! My only complaint is how teeny tiny the "soup" is compared to everything else. But this was fun. My students enjoyed "trying" the different dimsum.

Mixed bag
This was a mixed bag. Some of the items were really cute, but some of them had cheap stickers that were already peeling off when we opened the bag. Altogether, it is a fine play set for the cost for most children's play uses. The sizing was a little weird on some of the items and not all to scale though. We use these for staging 8CM dolls, and they are OK for that. I am not sure i personally would buy them again.

Thin lightweight plastic
Cute but cheap thin plastic. The only play dim sum food I’ve found so not too much to choose from. If quality is a concern, skip this.

Educational and fun
Finally something that caters to ethnic foods! This was the missing piece to my kids' pretend food toys. This made play so much fun and educational for my 2 , 5 and even 7 year olds. This set comes with 4 complete sets (2 sets of 2 variations), so you can mix and match for multi-child play or keep and give away one. The food items mimic classic dimsum and Chinese breakfast items including dumplings, zhongzi, egg tart, Chinese donuts (youtiao), shumai, baozi, mantou, fried egg, whole egg, complete with steamer baskets, chopsticks and soy milk. There's even a bowl of ramen.
