Puffin Moomin and the Birthday Button

Our 3y/o loves this book, the illustrations are nice and the words are big and simple enough for our 6y/o to read it himself. we definitely recommend it.

Moomin and the Birthday button is part of new line of books based on Tove Jansson's Moomin stories. It is the perfect introduction of the originals to toddlers and pre-schoolers.The drawings and the characters are still Tove Jansson's and the story lines have the same gentle whimsy and wisdom of the Moomin Valley. Great birthday gift for the little ones. Also, I highly recommend the new flap books.

Our 2 year old loves this book. We read it five times the first day and daily since we got it. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is long enough to keep a toddler engaged but not too long that their attention starts to wander. This is now a favourite bed time read. I can remember reading Moomin books when I was young and it is nice to see they have aged very well.

This book was a gift for my great-grandchildren. I feel that it must be of great value to them or their parents wouldn't have suggested it for their birthday.

I had previously borrowed this book from our local library and the kids (aged 2 and 5) loved it so much that I wanted them to have their own copy. It is a beautiful story with a very happy ending after an emotional couple of pages. Love the illustrations and bright colours, would recommend.
