A Magnum Opus on nykmt(kemetic) spirituality and ritual...
This book is INCREDIBLE! The wealth of Wisdom and information contained within the pages are invaluable to a practitioner of Kemetyu(kemetic) spirituality. There's even medu neter for those who wish to utilize Heka (words of power) from actual text and temple inscription. The author put a lot of hard work into this publication using source materials instead of making up erroneous theories trying to connect Egypt to non African Traditions.

This book is an excellent resource to Africans all over
This book is an excellent resource to Africans all over, students, educators, Kemetic (and African) Spirituality practitioners and enthusiasts. In reviewing this book, the principal criteria included content, organization, and reference sources. The author, Aankh Benu, shows a detailed view, and understanding, of Kemetic Spirituality, which is the revival of authentic Ancient Egyptian Spirituality. The reader is taken on a journey through the world of Kemetic Spirituality and receives comprehensive accounts from the Osirian (Ausarian) Tradition and Neteru (Forces of Creation) who make life possible. The tone of the book reflects a learned and scholarly appreciation for the marvel of Kemetic spirituality as illustrated by the detailing of what spirituality means from an African perspective. This is found in the Chapter aptly named “Family.”The author, Aankh Benu, is a proven Kemetic High Priest and author specializing in African Spirituality, History and Science with an emphasis on Kemetic Spirituality. In addition, he is a teacher and lecturer on spirituality and divination. He has also worked as a professional spiritual reader and helps others develop their own temples and spiritual paths. Currently, he runs Henensu, a pan-African community (and Temple) whose vision is to create a family, culture, and society based on the African (Kemetic) spiritual way of life called Maat. The format of the book meshes well with its organization and lends itself successfully to the study of Kemetic Spirituality. Each chapter is broken down to its core message and typically fits logically into the narrative of the whole book. All chapters are composed of several defining parts that maintain a sense of continuity. The structure of the book also adds to the ease of understanding what the author is trying to teach and what the Ancient Black Sages were teaching in Africa. Then and now.The organisation and description of the Neter (Creation/Creator), Neteru (Forces of Creation/Life) and Jertiyu (Ancestors) allows the reader to easily follow the evolution of Kemetic Spirituality and what it is at a fundamental level. This is the only book, I found, that successfully sticks to the authentic Kemetic spirituality, without infusing East Indian/Asian spirituality into the mix. I truly found that useful, as it enables the reader to fully understand what the Ancient Black Sages of Africa were teaching in Kemet (Ancient Egypt). There is a Chapter which describes what the Neteru are and their attributes and purpose within the bigger picture of Creation. Another Chapter called “Working with the Neteru” shows the reader the correct and practical life situations in which the Neteru can be used.Chapters such as Man’s Spiritual Journey, Auset and Heru, Sutesh, Moral Ideal in the nKmt (Kemetic) Tradition and Hika to name a few, are coherent and easily discernible, providing the reader with authentic African wisdom. A most welcome Chapter is the one which teaches the reader about how to Erect a Shrine. Another useful and valuable Chapter talks about the Daily Rituals that one can utilize. All in all, at the end of reading this book you will be able to understand the theory, and know how to practise it on a daily basis. Closing the book, is an invitation to join the author on his annual trips to Kemet (Ancient Egypt), which is a valuable tour, to say the least.Furthermore, the author’s enthusiasm for Kemetic Spirituality, and African Spirituality in general, is obvious throughout the book. The credibility of the content is also evident, and supported by the primary research which the author executes on his annual tours to Kemet (Khu Khem Kamit Tours). The fact that the author lives what he preaches is a “breath of fresh air” (breath of life), and can be observed throughout the text. This is simply the best reference on Kemetic Spirituality in the marketplace. I highly recommend it to beginners and professionals alike.
