This is a book that an intermediate or novice would use. Takes some understanding beyond basic embroidery & pattern backgrounds.Overall my favorite Naturalist Art Book whether you like the plants or birds it's a 10 on the rictor scale for beauty.

This book shows you how, from step one until the end, to make a beautiful work of art. It's inspirational as well. I've learned alot and honed my embroidery skills.

I got this after reading a review. It is a lovely book and while I love her work and the patterns, I know I will never attempt to make any of these. I think she should do kits.

As a beginning embroiderer, I am so impressed with her beautiful bird "needle paintings", and she gives detailed instructions for stitching these birds and creating their beautiful backgrounds, providing patterns and so forth. Excellent quality all around, highly recommended, not just for stitchers but also for bird lovers, artists, and anyone who loves beautiful art.

This beautiful/colorful book exceeded my expectations. The detailed directional arrows/diagrams in the sample pictures, and the arrows within the diagrams benefit those who do embroidery, but also those who paint, revealing dark and light areas which create a three-dimentional figure. Very happy with my purchase.

This book is phenomenal. So much information, presented so beautifully. I recommend this volume to the needleworker who loves beautiful embroidery. I can't wait to get started.

Beautiful photographs. Clear instructions. This is a British book, their birds are different from those in the US.

Ótimo livro, super explicativo. Tem bordados lindíssimos.

This is an absolutely fab book!! Several pages per project .. with easy to follow guide from initial photo, sketch to tools and threads required.. to seeing pictures at each stage of project.Only down side ..very small print on instructional pages .. now to purchase a page magnifier.

Everything in the book was inspirational. Clear explanations of how to create the beautiful designs, great illustrations…best buy for a long time
