Graphic novel was not received as advertised.
The graphic novel was not received. Total misrepresentation. I only received a regular novel.

The Kindle graphic version doesn’t have pictures.
My Kindle graphic version doesn’t have the pictures. Paper versions do. Not what I was expecting in a graphic novel. Also, opening line of supposedly Moncrief translation in Kindle graphic edition – “ For a long time I used to go to mattress early.”. In my Moncrief translation – “For a long time I used to go to bed early.”Also, in the Kindle graphic edition about six lines down – “I could attempt to placed away the e-book which,”. How prescient of Proust. Especially to be caught by a translator who, apparently, was fluent in neither French nor English..

this is how you do it
i won't comment on the text, because of course that's been done very well by so many others (although i particularly enjoyed and found useful Patrick Alexander's guide), but this is an absolutely beautiful edition of the work, which is one of the greatest achievements in the history of literature.nicely thick paper, good binding, cloth covered boards with stylish inset lettering, period photographs with captions from the text interspersed, the best translation, addenda (extra writing from certain passages that apparently didn't make it into the officially published version), footnotes, and a synopsis included at the back of each volume. 6 bound volumes, 3 each in two slipcovers.i tried a Kindle version in parallel, but i'm afraid you just can't read those glorious run-on sentences in anything less than a real printed book, and this is by far the best available version on the planet.for anyone who has read all or even just a bit of this magnificent work, you owe yourself.

Amazing cover.
I always wanted to read Proust. I suppose I'll have to wait another century. The print in this book has zero structure. It seems like a hundred thousand words faintly printed on full sheet paper both sides. There is hardly any contrast between the paper color and the ink.Grey, and light grey is not my choice for ink color. It's completely unreadable in print. First major disappointment in reading material purchased. The cover is beautiful.
