It’s pre-set. You can adjust the height of the step which helps make it easier or more difficult to step.

Can you actually get a good 30 minute aerobic exercise on this?

I don't know your fitness level and what you consider good. At the gym I was doing 45 min on strider or rowing machine so that was a great workout for me. The mini stepper is not up to that caliber and won't replace gym equipment, but it is better than what I expected. I'm burning a little over 300 calories in 20 minutes and can see more definition in my legs again. Seems like I read somewhere its not supposed to be used for more than 20 minutes at a time. I know this is a little vague, but I hope it helps some.

Where is my item? The tracking number provided was for an item delivered 3 months before I ordered to the other side of the country. This is a scam!

Where do I put the lubricant that came with it?

Mine was really noisy. Put some of the oil in the piston. Ran it back and forth to get it lubricated. A lot quieter now.
