A Clear and Concise Guide for the Sony RX10 IV and the Sony RX10 III
Thank you, Mr. White, for the most incredibly clear and thoughtful instructional manual...that I am now using for my new Sony RX10 IV! This book is clear and concise yet informative, so much so that all you need to do is read a section once, and that's it! I hope you will eventually write a guide for the RX10 IV...until then, as there is absolutely nothing else on the web or the library, this book makes operating the new October 2017 Sony RX10 IV understandable, and with it, how the third and fourth versions of this camera differ.Anyone who wants to learn how to use the Sony RX10 III or RX10 IV cameras needs to READ THIS BOOK!Bravo!

Great and Easy to follow Guide for Successfully Using the RX10 III
Whites guides are very detailed, easy to follow and help with some camera functions that are not well defined in the Sony Manual. I own several Sony cameras and found each of White;s guides very helpful, clear, well illustrated. It is a must purchase if you have any issues trying new and different functions on the RX10 iii.I also have the original RX10 and RX10 II and each new model has added functionality that sometimes needs extra explanation which White does a great job. I like the Kindle version which I can read on the computer , tablet and view on my smartphone in a pinch.

Photographer's Guide to Sony DCS-RX10 III
This Photographer's Guide has everything written in clear, precise order. And there are lots of pictures. I haven't read through the whole book yet, but I read enough to get me started in using my brand new Sony DSC-RX10 III. I love the camera and the book helped me a lot in setting up the best settings for using it effectively. I am using a highlighter to destinguish the best points, but it seems like I have highlighted just about everything. I also put index tabs at the start of each chapter so I can find things easier. Paper clips are attached to "need to know" pages. This camera does so much, you need a book like this to help you understand everything there is to know about it.

This guide is fantastic
Despite the fact that this is a bridge camera and you would think that it was fairly simple to use you would be wrong. It is not nearly as complicated a camera as a Canon 5D or 6D, but it is still very complex. If you are a hobbyist and not a serious photographer that is why you probably bought this camera. The instructions that came with the camera were written by idiots. they are useless. This book is fantastic. Easy to read. Tells you what is important and what is not. Unlike most guides it is written for photographers that understand all the basics. But get overwhelmed by the minutia they likely will never use.

Before I pick my next camera, I will make sure that there is an Alexander White guide book for it
I appreciate Mr. White's work so much I am rewriting this review as the first one seems to have disappeared.I bought his guide to the Lumix LX5, then to the Sony Rx10M1, and got this one in both digital and paper version as soon as it came out.In my opinion, if I had not gone through his guide multiple times (it is a complex piece of equipment), I would probably be using only about one-half of the capabilities of this camera.I just came back from my first trip with this camera, and plan to go through his book again, because I am sure that I will pick up more of the subtleties that he points out.

Help for the overwhelmed Sony RX10 III user!
The well know weakness of the otherwise excellent Sony RX10 III is the somewhat confusion and illogical user interface and a manual that is poorly organized for the new user. As he has done for a number of the new mirrowerless cameras has provided an exelent alternative for both new users of this camera and even those who have experience with other Sony model cameras. If you're serious in exploiting all that this excellent camera has to offer, you need this book.

Get It If You're Not Familiar With Sony Cameras
An absolute must if your going to buy and use the RX10 III. Sony does not include an in-depth manual with camera. The Sony manual is only available online in PDF form. I don't think the manual is printable either (I tried and couldn't get it to print). Mr. White goes through each and every option in the camera with examples for many. Very helpful if you're not familiar with Sony and its symbols. Highly recommended.

Great book, not so great packaging.
Love the book. Took one star off because the book came with pages on both corners bent. I did not expect that for a brand new book. Also was surprised the way way it was packed. In a large box just by itself, no filler.

Would be lost without it
The Sony RX iii is a camera with many capabilities. I am using this book everyday as I learn. Especially useful is the hot linked table of contents, and the index at the end, to help you find the particular setting you are looking for quickly and easily.

Excellent, thoroughly recommended.
The booklet guide supplied with the camera is only useful up to a point, it is only there to get you going. The Sony on-line manual is not clearly written and it's difficult to find what you are looking for. When you find the item you want, the explanations are sometimes difficult to understand. This book, however, is a revelation. I bought the kindle version to read on my iPad, that way I can take it with me when out using my camera. Well written, logical, clearly laid out. It is excellent - and it's not often I say that.

Great Reference Manual
Bought this to go with my new camera and it doesn't disappoint. Saves me loads of time hunting for answers. Would recommend to everyone.

Lot's of information, but cheap and mediocre print quality
This is a very comprehensive book about the new Sony Cyber-shot RX10 III. It covers in detail all the bells and whistles of this wonderful camera and gives useful tips about how the use the many different shooting modes. However, the print quality of this paperback is really a disappointment. It looks like all of the pages have been printed on a cheap inkjet printer using cheap paper. The quality of all the images in the book (and there are alot) is downright mediocre and the font they’ve used is not very pleasant to read. It’s too thin and it’s not sharp. For this price I’ve seen better manuals.

This book is an excellent addition to the rather scanty documentation provided with the SonyDSC-RX10 III. It not only describes the various controls but when and how to use them. I have found it extremely useful in gettinto grips with thiscomplex camera.
